With this rank it will be difficult for you for taking admission in CSE BRANCH as you need very high rank for that. With this rank you can get admission in other branches too and you can even try for other colleges too. First thing there is no free seat type of thing.

And for admission in nit or IIIT S you have to secure minimum 75% marks in boards ; so with this score you are not eligible.

You can go in other colleges in hich have less percentage criteria .( Many state government colleges or private colleges ).

You will get a good college with your category rank .

There are many options you can opt after B.E/ B.tech Mechanical Engineering, It depends on your interest & Potential. If you are interested to go for further study, After completing your B.Tech studies. M.Tech is the next step that allows you to select your field of expertise and excel in it, Specialization in a particular field provide you an edge during job interviews.

The other option, If you are interested for MBA programme then Some of the specialization like HR, Marketing, Digital Marketing, International Relations, Sales and more are some of the well-known and preferred specializations.

You can also go for short term courses like CATIA, Auto CAD or Creo etc. to boost your skills.

For engineering graduates, there is the IES Entrance Exam which is conducted mainly for four engineering branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Electrical. If you feel that a government job will provide you with much better facilities and a safeguarded future.

Diploma students can apply for direct B.tech second year. There are many colleges offer B.tech Lateral Entry programme through their own Entrance Exam.

Diploma holders can also apply for JEE Main Entrance Exam to be eligible for JEE Advance Entrance Exam as they are eligible to apply in IITs B.tech First Year.

You can also go for the short term job oriented Chemical Process Simulation Software like ChemCAD, Aspen-Plus, ASPEN-HYSYS etc. But I would suggest you to go for Graduation programme.

According to the academic calender even term 2018-19 of Gujrat Technological university, the summer vacation for the year 2019 would begin on 29th april 2019 and will end on 15th of june 2019.

Migration criteria vary from college to college. Generally, students have to take no objection certificate from the college/University. You should contact the authorities of both the colleges, from where you wish to cancel your admission and where you wish to take admission.
