    College Infrastructure

Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and all equipments are also available here. Every classroom in my college are fully air conditioned and also every class room has projector available in it with proper LED screens and also WiFi facilities are available across the college campus and in the hostels also.

    Academics

I am currently studying mechanical engineering here because I have a keen interest in robotics and mechanics that's why I'm pursuing it. The teachers here are very much educated, each of them are alumnus of any of the it's. My curriculum here is very up to date and it includes all the recent developments in the field.

    Placements

Quality of placements in my college is pretty good and the average percentage of students placed in 2023 is around 95%. And the highest package offered was around 24 LPA and it was from mechanical engineering. Average package offered was around 9.52 LPA. Placement process was easy and also the college staff was very much supportive.

    Value for Money

This course costs around 1.5 lakhs per year and I think the amount I am giving as the college fees is definitely worth it.

    Campus Life

College campus is surrounded by beautiful scenery , one side the beautiful mountains of Visakhapatnam and on the other side the bay of bengal or the Indian Ocean so it's very beautiful and lively. The students, teachers and also the supporting staff is very much supportive at every step they are ready to guide you through every path of life.

Have a question related to IIPE Visakhapatnam ?

which college should I prefer B.tech in chemical engineering In IIPE,visakhapatnam or B.tech in Metallurgical and materials engineering in NIT Raipur ?

    Hello student

hope you are doing great. As per your query  I would glad to tell you that you should go for Metallurgical and materials engineering in NIT Raipur as brand name of NIT raipur is very good and getting increased day by day due to which it has very strong alumni network and throws direct impact in placements . So if you can work then you should go NIT Raipur and for your knowledge students of all branches sites together in placements

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future

    Hi

The placement statistics for IIPE Vishakapatnam are as follows:

According to peer reviews, nearly all Oil PSUs visit the college during placement drive, they take around 10% of the students from chemical engineering batch. Private companies like Schlumberger, TCS, Adani gas, L and T, SHELL, Coromandel, Aurobindo, some start-ups, etc. takes 70% of students.

Being an institution that is mainly focused on the petrochemical industry, it is assumed that internships would be limited to only the petrochemical organisations such as HPCL etc. But surprisingly there are a wide variety of organisations to choose from. For petroleum engineering students, got internships from many top PSUs like GAIL, ONGC, OIL, HPCL and as far as the feedback from the petroleum students is concerned, the internships went satisfactory.

However, there are no placement statistics available on the official website.

    Good Luck

    Hey Kaushik,

IIPE is a government college in which admission in B.Tech programmes is done through JEE ADVANCED exam. For being able to register for admission, you have to qualify JEE Main first. Talking about better stream, I would recommend Petroleum steam is better and the cut-off for Petroleum branch is also higher than Chemical engineering cut-off. So, if you get an opportunity for both, you should consider Petroleum first.

Hope you have found the relevant answer to your question!!
