Dear student
NIT is itself a flagship college which comes under central government.  The placement percentage for civil branch is 70% , with highest package being 17 LPA and average package being 6.27 LPA.
This branch has  very good scope in PSUs and also higher studies.
According to me getting into a Nit is itself an achievement  , they will bring you high end companies.
At the end it's your  opinion whether you want to go for it or not.

NIT Warangal is among top 10 NITs of India. It has been ranked at 19th position for Engineering by NIRF while Careers360 has rated this college with AAAA+ grade. However you haven't mentioned the course you have gotten there but it seems it's Engineering. Nevertheless to say, the faculties are extremely talented and highly qualified. Coming to placement record, it's pretty good and almost 95% get placed in top notch companies like Amazon, Cognizant, ITC, Microsoft, Oracle etc. Many PSUs also recruit Engineers from NIT Warangal such as GAIL, Hindustan Petroleum, OIL etc. Nothing new to say about NIT Warangal, being among top Engineering institutes of India, it has collaboration with many foreign universities and industries. You can check this link for more details about NIT Warangal http://www.careers360.com/university/national-institute-of-technology-warangal

Hello Shiva kumar , From some research on internet I found that it is a good college but a better one but if you have no other option and you are really interested in civil engineering then go for it because it has approx. 70% placement rate for civil engineering.

Hope it will be helpful for you :)

Hope you are doing good.

let me get straight to the point and tell you that he has you would be eligible for physical science exam of CSIR NET. There would be no problem.

Also MSc tech in engineering physics and msc physics are a bit different.

if you do not want to go into the research field and want a course which is highly industry-specific then you should choose MSc tech in engineering physics.

Most industrial and manufacturing companies would prefer a MSc tech in engineering physics over a MSc physics candidate. Also once in a while government agencies like ISRO and DRDO have specialised vacancies only for MSc tech in engineering physics.

I hope I had cleared your doubt if you have any more questions you can ask them in the comments section.

  • Aurora's technology and research Institute
  • Nalla Narsimha ready Education Society's  group of Institution

Hello Aspirant,

According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you have very low or almost no chances of getting either branch in NIT Warangal as per previous year's cut-off. As cut-offs for this year is not declared yet so we can guide you on the basis of previous year's cut-offs which are given below :-

  • Chemical engineering - 2913 (closing rank for EWS category male under home state quota)
  • Civil engineering - 2423 (closing rank for EWS category male under home state quota)

For complete details about previous year's cut-offs refer the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-warangal

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

However I would recommend you to use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict the chances of your admission in different colleges  based upon your percentile and category :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hi Aspirant!

The college can be compared on the facilities and placements.According to NIRF ranking we consider its facilities and exposure. The NIRF ranking of NIT Rourkela is 16, NIT Warangal 19, NIT Calicut 23,DTU 36.

As you have interest in Computer Science/Coding then in this case college does not matter as in this field only your skills matter. But the better college on NIRF ranking can provide you best/more opportunities to explore.

Now on the basis on placements the average package of NIT Rourkela is 15.18LPA,NIT Warangal 13.3LPA,NIT Calicut 8 LPA,DTU has 16LPA.

Hence on the basis of Placements DTU is best.I still recommend you to go for NIT Rourkela because it provides you more opportunities than DTU.

I hope it helps.

Happy Hustling!

Hello

NIT Warangal is a good college. The college has good infrastructural facilities. The median package offered is 9.01lakhs.The college has got good placement records. The major recruiters are Amazon, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Cognizant, Infosys, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, Wiproetc.

Hi

As per ranking, grade and reviews of both the institutes, Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati is better than National Institute of Technology Warangal.

IIT Tirupati is younger institute than NIT Warangal. The infrastructure is well furnished and good, equipped with all the facilities. Teaching quality is extremely good. The placements here are decent as it is recently established institute and is on the verge of more developing one.

You can compare the two colleges here in the link below-

Thank you

Hello srinivasgupta58980,

Well, I suggest CVR CSE, as no doubt if you are looking for branch change then you must not be interested in BioTechnology, and you must opt for your preferred branch...No Doubt NIT Warangal is a way better college but Branch change is very rare, and very difficult to opt... if your branch is changed then you are lucky, but if not then what?, it is a matter of your career and you must not take that as a risk ... Almost 90% of students in NIT WARANGAL of Bio Tech must be willing and preparing for upper branches, but they all get that, the success ratio of branch change is very less...

Choose Wisely,

Good Luck!

Hope This Helps, and feel free to ask any further query...

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is average. However, environmental planning department has good infrastructure. Classes are air-conditioned with comfortable seats and Wi-Fi. The canteen food is affordable and good. The hostel rooms are developed to accommodate one student per room. However, due to lack of rooms usually, 2 people share the room (it's on a consent basis, if the room is allotted to you, then it's your wish to give consent and accommodate other classmates and no discount on fees will be given for consent).
