Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Amethi admissions are offered to B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D programmes. RGIPT admission to diploma courses is done through PAT scores. While admission to B.Tech and Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) programme is based on JEE Advanced.

Whereas, RGIPT Amethi MBA admission is done based on the candidate's valid scores in CAT/CMAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT or written test followed by an interview conducted by RGIPT Amethi. RGIPT Amethi admission to Ph.D programme is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in written tests followed by an interview conducted by RGIPT.
