The University is providing hostel facilities to the students who join the university from different parts of the country and even beyond for pursuing their studies in different courses. There are separate hostels for boys. At present, there are 5 hostels (4 inside the campus for boys).

CAMPUS SAFETY

Sanskriti University has taken strict measures to ensure the safety of its students, faculty members and the staff:

• Sanskriti campus including hostels is secured by high boundary wall with barbed wire to prevent unauthorized entries.
• The campus has only one entry gate manned 24x7 by armed security guards.
• Bags and belongings of the students and the visitors are checked manually by the guards.
• Metal detector is also provided at the entrance.
• Electronic register is maintained for all visitors and unknown entrants at the entry point. Details of visitors along with their identification proof and contact numbers are examined and recorded in the electronic register at the entrance.
• CCTV cameras are provided at strategic points within the campus.
• Canteen, mess etc. are closely monitored and necessary action is taken whenever required.
• Students are provided ID cards and displaying of such cards in the campus is compulsory.
• Special security arrangements are made at girls’ hostel. No male is allowed to enter the girls’ hostel. Girl students are not allowed to leave/enter the hostel after specified hours.

Spacious rooms with necessary furniture for taking rest/sleeping as well as studying are provided to the students.

Air-conditioned and non air-conditioned rooms are available

24X7 Power back-up facility is available in every hostel and round-the-clock security arrangement is in place in all the hostels.

The students are required to maintain discipline at all times and are not allowed to leave the hostel without prior permission of the competent authority.

Hostel Charges :

Sanskriti University is well aware of the requirements of medical attention to the students. We are particular about well-being of the students and also conscious about our responsibilities towards providing timely medical assistance in case of either injury or ill-health.

The campus has engaged a specialist doctor for medical aid 24x7 and he is just a call away. We also have arrangement with the nearby hospitals for admitting/attending to emergencies and/or routine treatment.

A dedicated room has been provided in the campus with first aid facilities which functions as health centre if and when immediate medical attention is required. Necessary treatment is provided at this centre by trained persons.

We have vehicles stationed in the campus for ferrying the injured or sick students with facilities for transporting them in supine condition.

We at Sanskriti University feel that health and wellness is the most important part of our daily lives. The well-equipped air conditioned gym provides students with the opportunity to build their stamina to be better able to cope with the rigors of college life, channelize their energies in a healthy way and also hone their physique.

The University takes good care of the same and lets its students live a healthy and fit life. Gymnasiums and exercising equipment help the students to spend their free time in something that is productive and helpful. A healthy lifestyle also helps the students to concentrate more on the studies and keeps them active throughout the day.

Separate time slots have been assigned to male students, female students, teachers and staff for maximizing the utility of the gymnasia. Stimulating activity in the gymnasia teaches valuable physical skills, sets a pattern of lifelong fitness and helps students socially.

Library of the University is a treasure house of authentic and valuable information that support the educational and research needs. It facilitates learning and enrichment of knowledge. It serves the need for enhancement of quality of education.

The spacious library with requisite furniture and a reading room provides the right environment for students to enrich their knowledge by studying the books written by eminent authors - both national and international - and also by browsing reputed national and international journals, magazines, etc. The library is well-stacked with more than 1,00,000 books. It subscribes to approximately 50 Indian and 25 foreign journals apart from e-journals.

Book bank facility is provided to the students through which each student gets requisite text books on all subjects according to the academic requirements of different semesters. This facility is in addition to the students' entitlement of books issued against library cards.

Digital Library

The users of the library enjoy the privilege of reading materials through this network also. It provides the facility of inter-connection of all libraries registered under DELNET scheme. This facilitates access to a wide range of book, journals, magazines, etc.

For 360 degrees personality development, it is absolutely essential to ensure participation of the students in different types of sports. We at Sanskriti are well aware of the necessity of physical exercises and importance of sports as an important pastime for students.

The campus is equipped with sports facilities that include Badminton, Volley ball, Football, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Cricket, etc. Students are encouraged to play both outdoor and indoor games after their classes and during weekends, inter-institute and intra-institute tournaments on various games are held as per the schedule planned in the calendar of activities. The year-long activity ends with Annual Sports Meet that brings out the hidden talents of the students in different games.

As a matter of routine, all students are encouraged to inculcate the habit of physical exercise on regular basis which assists in development of their physical and mental abilities. The gymnasium in the campus with various equipments for weight-lifting and other activities offers the students the opportunity to indulge in exercises for maintaining physical fitness.

The students who perform well in sports and cultural activities are nominated for participating in inter-college meets organized by the university which provides an opportunity to the students to show-case their talents that can act as spring-board, for some students, to excel in their fields of activity at State and National levels.

Computer centre plays a very prominent role as computer system is now-a-days basic tool in teaching-learning process. In the present era, we cannot think of providing quality education without the aid of computers as articles, power-point presentation, papers written by different topics on different issues, lectures by eminent professors etc. are available for learning by downloading from the computers.

Setting up a computer centre requires proper designing of the layout of the systems, the servers, the space etc. Further, the computer centre is being manned by very competent system administrators who are keeping a close watch on the performance of the systems and, whenever necessary, take immediate steps to rectify the problems.

The University has planned the layout with a well thought-out design whereby all the labs are inter-connected within a specific area/location which helps in supervision, operation and maintenance. There are sufficient numbers of computers that cater to the needs of the practical learning process for students of different programmes. The seating arrangements for the students have been made by taking due note of the space required by each student to focus on the assigned jobs. All systems are connected on LAN and Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus including the hostels.

Cafeteria is the place where students relax, unwind and recharge after a hard day at the University. Sanskriti University has a cafeteria that can accommodate around 200-300 students at any point of time for refreshment, lunch etc.

The furniture is laid in a manner to accommodate maximum people and yet look aesthetic. Quality and hygiene are the two most important factors in cafeteria. The regular quality control and quality checks at the cafeteria ensure highest standards of hygiene. Rest assured, there is never a compromise on food quality, cleanliness, and overall hygiene at the cafeteria. Be it kitchen or raw materials used for preparation of food, everything goes through a stringent quality check.

The cafeteria has sufficient space and the furniture is well laid out for comfortable seating. The entire campus is ‘no smoking zone’ and strict vigil is being maintained in the cafeteria for prohibiting the students from smoking or consuming tobacco in any form.

Sanskriti University is well aware of the fact that co-curricular activities are as important as academic teaching for imparting holistic education to the students. Keeping this in mind, seminars and conclaves are being arranged regularly for different programmes offered by the University.

Organizing an event where large numbers of participants are expected to attend is possible only if there is a well-designed, well-built space equipped with state-of-the art gadgets suitable for conducting seminars. The University’s seminar hall sufficiently meets the requirement.

All seminars, trainings and guest lecture etc. in which large number of students and faculty members are required to attend/participate, are being organized in this seminar hall. The hall is air-conditioned and equipped with all the necessary systems including acoustics which is important for conducting seminars of national and international levels.

As the University is offering large number of programmes, the seminar hall is being utilized almost on all working days. A roster is maintained for seminars of different schools to be conducted in the hall.

The transportation facility provided by Sanskriti is certainly the best amongst the institutions operating in the area. The bus routes cover various towns and villages in and around Mathura, Vrindavan, Chhata, Kosi Kalan etc. The students and faculty members are ferried in comfortable buses.

Commuting to Sanskriti campus located at Chhata, Mathura from adjoining areas is an important issue for the students since it is 28 km away from the city of Mathura (towards Delhi) on national highway NH- 2. The need for commuting is very well addressed by the University by extending transport facilities to the students and faculty members with the help of owned fleet of semi-luxury buses.

The charges for availing transport services are very nominal and affordable. The University provides transport facility to the girls at a subsidized cost for encouraging them to pursue higher education. Each bus has a senior faculty member as in charge and he/she ensures that proper discipline is maintained in the bus en route.

It is not the knowledge of books, but also the balance of classroom education and practical experience, that enables students to grasp concepts faster.

All labs are well equipped according to International standards and manned by well-qualified and experienced faculty members and instructors who assist the students in conducting experiments with the help of laboratory manuals.

Practical experiments are performed in a systematic manner. Students receive proper guidance of experts and are encouraged to get maximum exposure to practical learning. Engineering workshops have the latest machine tools, welding and fabrication facilities, foundry etc. for students of various engineering branches. Students are encouraged to hone application skills and practically verify the theoretical aspects.

In this era of globalization, value of communication skill is immense especially in English language which is universally considered to be the only international language in the professional world.

The language laboratory of our campus is very useful for assessing students' speaking ability. It provides students with the technical tools for clarity and accuracy in pronunciation. The electronic gadgets used in the laboratory stimulate the ears and eyes of the learner and enable them to learn the language quickly and easily.

The laboratory is designed to assist learners in aural comprehension, oral and written proficiency. Teaching aid available in our communication lab includes digital multimedia control, headsets and microphones, LCD projector and computers having face to face software. The language laboratory allows the student to listen to model pronunciation, repeat and record the same, listen to their performance and compare with the model based on IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) and make self-assessment.

The instructors in the communication lab are well qualified, having masters degree in English Language Teaching from reputed central universities of India. They are also well experienced and competent and ensure that the students of Sanskriti Group have fairly decent command over English Language by the time they pass out.

Art and culture is an integral part of human society. Evolution of society is associated with the development of art and culture. The progress of India towards developed economy (at present developing economy) warrants wholesome development that includes showcasing its growth in art and culture as well. India is well-known for its tradition and contribution to the world in the field of art and culture and the tradition is being followed by the people of the present era.

Sanskriti University has conceptualized a unique ecosystem (Innovation, Incubation, Intellectual Property Rights, Entrepreneurship, known as IE system) for Higher education institutes in India.

Sanskriti’s unique IIIE Cell concept has been widely accepted in the academic arena and many institutions have started to implement the idea.

Theoretical lectures are delivered in the classrooms and the major teaching-learning process takes place in the classrooms. The nuances of different subjects are explained by the faculty members and absorbed by the students.

This process of transfer of knowledge is an extremely important part of education because a smooth transfer results in efficient learning and vice-versa.
