B.Tech course fees per annum is Rs. 1,60,500 in Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy, Thanjavr.

Total B.Tech course fees is Rs. 6.42 Lakhs in SASTRA University. Hostel fees is Rs. 10,000 to 20,000 based on facilities. Mess fees is nearly Rs. 4000.

70 percentage seats are filled by considering JEE Mains score and marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Board. 50 percent weightage from JEE Mains and 50 percent weightage from 10+2 or equivalent exam are considered for B.Tech admission in Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy, Thanjavur.

First of all , congratulations for such a nice score in both jee mains and boards.

Sastra university has set up two criteria for admissions in b.tech that is stream 1 and stream 2. Under stream 1 your rank is prepared taking 25% of your jee score along with 75% of your CBSE score , whereas in stream 2 only your boards exam marks would be taken in count ....

and also for cse in sastra university you should have rank among top 500 students either in the criteria formed in stream 1 or in stream 2.

so according to the results that you have mentioned , you have possibility of getting cse in sastra university if you apply under stream 2 ...but still i would suggest you to rather fill the form under both the category ....

and also if luck factor does't works , you can also apply for other branches ...

electronics and communication engineering (ece) and information technology (IT) are also core branches which have great scope...

Just have a look at the stream in which you can get more rank .....and then accordingly apply for the same

Also if you get a chance in college , based on your marks you can also upgrade your branch from electronics and communication engineering (ECE) or information technology(IT) to CSE.

But I am not sure if sastra university give its students an option of upgradation.

The admission in SASTRA University is based upon two streams:

Stream 1: 75% marks of class 12 boards and 25% marks of JEE mains is considered for ranking.
70% of the seats get filled with this stream.
As your IPE marks are a bit less then your rank will be increased.

If your class 12th percentage is around 90-95% and 80% in JEE Mains then you have good chances to get into SASTRA University.

Stream 2: Your rank is calculated based upon your class 12 percentage only.

30% seats get filled with this stream.
Since the number of seats is less will this stream, the competition is very high. To get into SASTRA through this stream, you need more than 95% in your class 12th boards.

- If you are applying to SASTRA University through Stream 1 then your marks are calculated as
12th percentage* 0.75+jee main mark * 0.25

Your marks are calculated out of 165. So as per your marks you will getting your merit number. If your merit number is less than the number of seats then you have good chances to get into SASTRA University.

Shastra University it's admission through two procedures the very first one is on the basis of boards percentage and JEE main score for this 70% seats are reserved where 75% weighted is given to boards and 25% is given to JEE main so if your percent board percentage is above 90 atleast then there are chances that you will get admission on this criteria. To get admission on the basis of JEE main + board you are expected to be at least above 90% in boards and score above 110 in jee main.

Criteria two : 30% seats in the university are reserved for the admission just on the basis of boards so in order to get admission in the respective University through only boards you are expected to be at least above 95 .

Now for CSE you should be above 98 in boards and good enough score in jee main also like 120+.

A student who have passed 10+2 with a 60% percentage can get a seat in Sastra University.

Admissions in Sastra University is based upon 2 categories.

1st category: 85% of total seats are filled upon by the JEE mains marks and the 12th marks.

2nd category: Remaining 15% of the seats are filled only based upon the marks secured in the 12th grade or PUC or intermediate 2nd year or any other equivalent boards.

If you have attended JEE Mains then you can get a seat in 1st Category. Else you can get a seat only through 2nd category.

For the admission in sastra university there is a particular criteria. The admission in this university is done in 2 streams

Stream 1: students are admitted based on their 12th standard results adding jee mains score to it. More than 70% seats are filled this way. The university considers 75% intermediate marks and the rest of the 25% from jee mains

Stream 2 : the remaining 30% seats is filled through this procedure. It only considers the 12th percentage. Students below 95% have a hard time getting admission through this stream. Based on this score he has a good chance of getting in sastra university

Cse, it, and ece are the most sought out branches of engineering. This branches provide lucrative jobs with rewarding salaries. The 3 branches are almost similar with ece providing a detailed knowledge about electronics along with computer programming and coding. The top recruiters from this university are amazom, cisco, oracle,CTS, IBM, TCS, HP, ACCENTURE, MORGAN STANLEY, PAYPAL,FORD, WIPRO, INFOSYS. The highest salary package was rs 28.5 lpa and the average package is rs 9.3 lpa. So the placements from this university is good. There is no such criteria (minimum JEE marks) for admission in to SASTRA university. SASTRA university has a separate procedure through stream 1 and stream 2 .

Stream 1
70 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 1 based on 12 th percentage ( 75 percent after normalisation ) + JEE mains score ( 25 percent )

For example
12 th percentage - 88 (CBSE) and JEE mains score is 80 .
Normalised percentage of board would be as follows
88 * 100/98.6 = 89.25
(Assuming percentage of topper is 98.6 )
Now 89.25 * 0.75 + 80 * 0.25 =86.94
This is your final score . AIR (SASTRA) is prepared based on this final score . There is a chance AIR up to 4000 .
If someone is a topper of board exam and his JEE mains score is 40 then final score would be 85 and AIR (SASTRA) would be above 5000 . It proves that there is no chance for JEE mains score below 40 in stream 1 .

Stream 2 .
30 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 2 based on 12 th percentage .
There is very less chance for percentage below 95 in stream 2 .
I know your chances are less but your intermediate marks is good so you still stand a chance to get admission through stream 1.
I would recommend you to apply for SASTRA without any fear as I see a little possibility that you may get a seat there.
