Jawaharlal Nehru University, also known as JNU, is a central university in New Delhi that was established in the year 1969. The Jawaharlal Nehru University is fully funded by the Government of India. JNU offers a number of scholarships and fellowships to its students. Some of the JNU fellowships are offered through UGC-CSIR Junior Research Fellowships, UGC-Scholarships and Fellowships, State Government Fellowships. JNU scholarships and fellowships are either offered to felicitate the meritorious students or to help the students who belong to the economically weaker sections of society. Some of the scholarships offered by Jawaharlal Nehru University are Merit-cum-means Scholarships, the G Parthasarathi Endowment Fellowship, Jawahar Bhawan Trust Scholarship, Special Fellowships for SC/ST and PH students, and others. Okita Memorial Fellowship

Two fellowships each of the value of Rs. 5,000 p.m. with an annual contingency grant of Rs. 10,000.

Meritorious Indian students in JNU who are registered for M.Phil/Ph.D. and M.A 2nd year programme in various Centres of SIS/SLLCS/SSS pursuing studies/research in any of the areas of specialisation bearing on Japan or on India's Relations with Japan.

G Parthasarathi Endowment Fellowship

Four fellowships of Rs. 1,000 p.m for a period of 1-year

Students coming from economically weaker sections of society, particularly Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Backward Class, and Physically Challenged (Handicapped) students.

Jawahar Bhawan Trust Scholarship

Awarded to 10 students with a CGPA of 5.5 at the end of third semester of MA/M.Sc. and fifth semester in case of M.C.A.

Nippon Foundation (Japan)

Rs. 15,000 p.m for 3 years

Six students of the M.Phil./Ph.D. programme will be awarded the Fellowship.

Facilities available are Wi-Fi, Classrooms, Library, reading room. Hostel facilities are very good in terms of food, washrooms and rooms. The quality of food in the SIS building is very good, and the medical facility is available 24 hrs in the campus. Sports and games facilities are available in the campus.

I live in Jhelum hostel and hostel is full of facilities with mess and library also included. The hostel is like our home and it seems like students live in the home. Our classroom is also well maintained and clean. The classroom has full facilities for the board, watch, and any other equipment.

The facilities provided at JNU are really nice. The JNU campus is one of a kind in the country with lush green trees, flowers, birds, peacocks, and many more. The entire campus has high-speed Wi-Fi. And all the hostels have separate mess with a very good quality of food with varieties catering to students coming from different areas of the country.

what are the core subjects with French hons in jnu

The School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies at the Jawaharlal Nehru University offers the BA (Hons) French programme. Given below is the list of some of the core subjects offered in the programme:
