Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Computer Science and Technology, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications, Mechanical):
Contai Polytechnic offers six diploma courses in engineering with 60 intakes per course (30 intakes for Electronics and Telecommunications). Admission to the courses is based on two entrance tests:
1. JEXPO (Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics): The test is for students who have passed the 10th standard.
2. VOCLET (Vocational Lateral Entry Test): This test is for those candidates who cleared their 12th class with vocational subjects or ITI.
Candidates must clear JEXPO or VOCLET to be considered for admission in these diploma courses. The final selection depends on the candidate's performance in these entrance tests and on the availability of seats in the desired course.
D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy):
The intake for D.Pharma in Contai Polytechnic is 60 students. Admission to the course is different from the admission to the engineering diplomas. The students who are interested and want to get admitted to D.Pharma are asked to appear for either:

The mode of entrance test may also change every year, and students are required to refer to current admission notices for updated information.
Hello,
For any diploma course you need to complete atleast class 10 from any recognised institution. A diploma is a short-term course, lasting 1 or 2 years, and is not necessarily given by a university. It could be conducted by an institute or polytechnic as well. Only a university can confer a degree. To pursue higher education, a degree from only a UGC approved university is accepted.
Here are some of the top diploma courses one can take up after class 10!
- Diploma In Beauty Culture & Hair Dressing.
- Industrial Training Institutes. ...
- Diploma In Garment Technology.
- Diploma In Stenography.
- Diploma In Laboratory Technician.
- Diploma In Hotel Management & Catering Technology.
- Engineering Diplomas.
- Marine
You can take diploma course on basis of your 10th and later you can join engineering as a lateral entry I.e., you can join engineering directly in the second year.

Hey dear, from your question it can be assumed that you are asking about placements of engineering, mba e.t.c. so, there are many companies that visit colleges for placements like infosys and wipro are mass recuiters in many colleges. Then come some majot core companies those are limited to certain branches, that too are regular companies visiting every year in colleges. For MBA, companies like accenture, TCS come for management sector in most of the colleges.
