Nice infrastructure. ...... Library, cantine , nice garden all are there...they are well maintained classrooms are good... Hostel facilities available.... Food is average and hygienic... living spaces are clean.
I'm studying jute and fibre technology... I like this subject.... Faculties are helpfull and good..... Curriculum is updated.....includes all the recent developments in field.... This made me ready for job ready
Placement is average... 50-60% students get placement. ...... Textile industries offer students for job..... College is supportive.... Placement process is quite easy.... it's averagely pleasant for me
3k rupees fees per semester.... This is very low cost...... I'm getting my money's worth... In this money very few colleges give engineering course and this is very helpful for all categories of students
College campus is good... Features are good.... seniors are very friendly and helpful...... teachers are helpfull.... Location is almost safe for everyone.... it's good for emergency situation.. .....
This college is one of the oldest college in Kolkata. So the infrastructure is not that good. But all the necessary facilities and equipments are available. At the ground floor, there is a huge laboratory. There are Classrooms in a separate building. The Hostel is very near to the Main Campus. Library is also quite big and all the necessary books are available. Living rooms are clean and hygienic.
University of Calcutta is quite well known for the quality of study it provides. The teaching quality is really very Awesome. The curriculum is updated accordingly and follows the rules and regulations of AICTE. But the thing is that, the Classroom study doesn't make one ready for the job.
The Placement is not very good from this Campus. Since University of Calcutta has multiple campuses, and this Campus is only for Jute and Fibre Technology, so the placement Opportunity is not quite good. Still 60-70% Students get placed in some top and Start up companies. Also some IT companies come yo hire Non-core Students. The Average Highest package is 15 lakhs, offered by Raymond.
Since this is a Government University, so the Cost per year is very less. The approximate amount per Semester is Rs. 3500. So it is the least Course fee among all the Government as well as Private Engineering Universities or Institutions. So in a word its money worthy.
The Campus life is quite good. There's a common room for playing Carrom and Table Tennis. Junior Senior interaction happend mainly in the Common room. Also the relationship and the interactive Communication among the Students with others is also very engaging. The Campus is located at proper Ballygunge Fari, exactly beside the main road. Its totally safe and can handle any sort of emergencies.
Good University for Higher Study but not for Job.
Some laboratories of this college needs some necessary things to improve its own infrastructure, otherwise overall infrastructure is good . And auditorium hall should be improved, and some ac are required
The professor faculty in this campus of Calcutta university is excellent and they are very supportive. Everyone helps us to overcome any problem. And curriculum is lovely. Textile is a unknown stream, so many opportunities are there.
As per on campus and off campus placement, the rate of placement is 100%... Some company offers average salary, some company offers a great salary. Jayashree, landmark, Arvind etc are come to offer jobs.
As per it's a government b.tech college, the semester fees is minimum. So as per my knowledge goes , it's fees is much less than any other private engineering colleges. And there are no waste of money.
The location of this campus is good but some features like canteen ,A.c, are not available in this campus of Calcutta university.....so these minimum requirements should be available in this campus....
I think, as per it's a rear stream ....so most of the people don't know it's opportunity or it's Carrer life ....so I just want to help them to choose your own future and choose your own carrer life..
From the first day my relationship with my department was very charming . I can proudly say there is more equipments and facilities and as well as mechineries than other textile colleges in West Bengal . There is now a very modernized library and also a very good auditorium for many types of programmes. And as far as I know about my college's hygiene , Its too great . If you wanna have an experience , please come join us. Thank you
Simply I will say that I am a B.tech student. Scope of the textile ground is vast and also for my college scope in Jute sector is also huge. I got an idea to get chance here from on of my elder brother of my neighbors . And now I am student of 6th semester in this department and I am very interested abour my department and also my course. Hope before ending the 8th sem we all will get proper jobs..
I am saying it fairly , in today's market placement is avarage here in DJFT . In textile sector we are lagging behind when it comes about placements . Maybe there are causes and also downfall lf textile market. Hope it will increase like some years before. Here in our college 50-60% students got job by on-campusing last year and others are doing M.tech or they got placed by off campusing also. Hope it will increase by years.
2 semesters in a yaer and per semester 3642 rupees . So it goes arround 7300 per year and 29200 for whole B.tech course . And it is Worthy to say, because in private colleges there is more semester fee for a single semester than the whole semester fee of our course.
Campus life is too good and enthusiastic. Seniors are the most amazing part for this college. They are just like big brothers and sisters to young ones. The are also helpfull , sarcastic and they are great in many other things . Teachers and supporting stuffs are also very much helping and friendly. The combo of students and teachers are very compactful here and this is making our campus life very interesting.
Everyone loves his or her college and it's a huge emotion to all of them, mine is not different. I am totally attached with my department and also with my college . Yeah there are few negative things but also a lot of positivities. In textile fields there are huge scope for any fresher's student and from our college we can add the Jute sector , yeah you heard right in jute industry there is also a huge scope . This makes my DJFT more special. I am studying in 6th semester now , and I love my cll
This college is totally fine with ancient infrastructure. There aren't very much facilities. So it should be better to have a great opportunity to work in any textile related posts. Also in here so many equipment for survival of the course. Construction of machines are not desirable for supplying the products. But those are still stands constantly on the way. Libraries area is good.
Now I'm pursuing BTech in jute and fibre technology on study of textile things that are used to industry. Being interested in this have to enjoy the engineering life. And get succeed in this type of creativity. Teaching style is good enough for me. Day by day aspiring to learn more about the knowledgeable things.
Placement offers in this field is required for increasing the use of jute bags instead of plastic bag. Placement is not fully fitted in this era. Alumni association of textile is come to college for worldwide trends.
Money is not enormous potential for growth. Per year spending the money maximum Rs. 10,000. All is well with in the college. Sports r available . That's money is not high enough.for regular basis of cost.
There are not good enough activities. Teachers and students ar so closely related to understand any problems. Seniors are elegant to help to go to track. Staff and security r there for servicing. So it would be great to have a safety issue.
It has all necessary infrastructures like library cum computer room , wifi throughout the campus , a lift in the annex building , but does not have any canteen. The library is full of books and air conditioned . The living space is clean.
I am studying 4yr Btech in Jute and Fibre Technology and the quality of teaching is good and most of the professor themselves are college Alumni. Yes the syllabus was updated recently and includes all recent development in the field
100 % placements including off campus and the average salary is from 12-40 k per month . Yes the college organizes placements and alumni help in placements . Companies like Aditya Birla , RIL , etc come to placements.
The fees is mere 30k for whole course and so it is worth it.
It has TT board , a carrom board but not play ground and the campus is lush with trees and the campus is located in Ballygunge and the location is very safe. The teacher and staffs are very supportive and friendly
