College life can be picturesque but some amenities are not. Here’s the lowdown: Classrooms: It’s hard to imagine what a classroom without chairs or fans would be like. For the ones that project images, half the time they disappoint. Otherwise, they get the job done Library: Update the editions of some books and you’ll find a respectable but modest collection which is quite to my liking. Peaceful places are good for studying after all! Labs: For some who are enrolled in tech heavy courses the pinch of some of the equipment that is old may be frustrating, Hostels: They are bare minimums and the washrooms seem like they could do with a little more cleaning. To put it bluntly, hostels are dormitory style. Wi-Fi: Now this can be a standstill at times, especially when you need it the most! The feeling is quite similar to how you feel when your phone looses network or your data pack ends Now overall, nothing out of the ordinary. The facilities claimed by the institution were satisfactory enough to make do but nothing extraordinary.
To the best of my knowledge and experience, the education offered here is certainly reasonable, however it is not exceptional. There are some really good professors that can teach well, but there are other professors that just lecture without any distinction. The curriculum is quite old and needs some updates. The extent to which applied learning and life skills are covered is relatively low. If looking to learn anything beyond the basics be prepared to do that on your own accord. In general, it’s quite alright, however personal passion is necessary to benefit from the experience.
The placement is fine at my college. It’s not good but neither is it the worst. Good companies do come but most are mass recruiters. If you’re in a good branch like CSE or IT, you will get better, but for core branches, it can depend. A great deal depends on what you do yourself – like summer internship programs, skill building, and interview preparation. So yes, it is average but if you take the step you can elevate yourself.
To be honest, it does not really matter what the college is like or whether it is average or not. What teaps does is forge your mind to approach the subject in a manner unlike most. If the billing is within reach, and the perks are reasonable (library, labs, Wi-Fi, and so on), it's not so terrible. The professors may not all be excellent, but you are still able to understand something if you diligently study. The energy of the campus is also essential—if there are sufficient clubs, events, or ways to pursue your passions, it enhances the enjoyment. The placements may not be the greatest, but if you focus on your abilities, even one or two good businesses can make the effort worthwhile. Last but certainly not least, it is not exactly the college that is the center point here, it is more about how hard you worked during those hustling years and how much energy you put into it.
Actually, my university life was pretty chill. Not one of the top schools But there are advantages. The place is not very luxurious. But it's comfortable enough. Classes are appropriate Some teachers are very good. While some are good I have learned a lot. and are becoming accustomed to managing time between assigned work and social work The best part is the people I've met. I have strong friends. And we always find ways to make it fun. Whether it be a late night reading session, an event, or just hanging out together. There is always something to do, even if it is not too extravagant. Not a party school But you can definitely have a good time. Overall, it's just a matter of what you do. If you are active and take advantage of what you have, You will be guaranteed the full experience. not perfect But it's mine.
The infrastructure of our college is functional but not exactly impressive. The classrooms are decent but lack modern amenities like proper ventilation or advanced teaching aids. Labs are equipped with basic tools, but there’s definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of updated equipment and more spacious setups. The library, while sufficient for basic needs, feels cramped and could benefit from a wider collection of books, more digital resources, and comfortable seating arrangements. The canteen is another area that could use attention. Though it serves the purpose, it lacks variety in food options, and the cleanliness is not always up to the mark. Sports facilities are minimal, and students who are into extracurricular activities often find themselves managing with limited resources. There are some positives, though. The Wi-Fi connectivity on campus is reliable, and the greenery around the premises provides a peaceful vibe. However, the overall campus aesthetics do not match the standards you’d expect from a college aiming to shape future professionals.
The academic standards of the college can be described as average. The curriculum follows the basic university guidelines but lacks the flexibility and innovation required to keep up with modern industry trends. While the teaching staff is supportive and knowledgeable in their respective fields, some of the teaching methods feel outdated, relying heavily on rote learning rather than practical applications. The syllabus often seems disconnected from real-world scenarios, making it challenging to relate theoretical knowledge to practical uses. Guest lectures and workshops, which could enhance learning, are limited in frequency, leaving students with fewer opportunities to gain exposure to the latest advancements in their fields. The examination system is quite traditional, with a strong focus on written tests rather than evaluating problem-solving and analytical skills. Although a few departments try to organize hands-on projects or internships, they are not consistent across the college. For students aiming for average performance or looking to get by with minimal effort, the system works fine. However, those who are ambitious and seeking more in-depth learning or competitive academic programs may find it insufficient. Overall, while the academics are passable, there is significant room for improvement to meet the expectations of today’s competitive environment.
The academic standards of the college are average, but they are sufficient to provide a foundation for students. The curriculum follows a traditional approach, with limited flexibility to incorporate modern industry trends. While some professors are dedicated and skilled, a few teaching methods rely heavily on theory rather than practical applications, which can make learning less engaging. Workshops, seminars, and hands-on projects are conducted occasionally but are not consistent across all departments. Despite the average academics, the college excels in placements. The placement cell is active and well-connected with companies, ensuring a high placement rate for eligible students. Reputed companies visit the campus regularly, offering decent salary packages and career opportunities. The focus on employability skills like aptitude tests, mock interviews, and soft skill training is a notable advantage for students preparing for jobs. Overall, while the academics could use modernization and a stronger emphasis on practical knowledge, the placement opportunities make up for it. For students who are determined and make the most of the resources provided, the college offers a good stepping stone into the professional world.
The college offers a decent academic experience that aligns with its affordable fee structure, making it a good option for students seeking value for money. The curriculum is standard, covering the essentials, though it lacks modern and advanced content. The teaching faculty is supportive but relies more on traditional teaching methods, with limited focus on practical and research-oriented learning. While workshops and seminars happen occasionally, they could be more frequent and relevant to industry demands. The infrastructure, though basic, is functional. Classrooms and labs provide the essentials but need upgrades to enhance the overall learning environment. Facilities like the library and sports resources are sufficient but not exceptional. What truly stands out about the college is its excellent placement record. Despite the average academics, the placement cell ensures that students have access to job opportunities from reputed companies. The training programs for placements, including mock interviews and skill development sessions, are well-structured and effective. Considering the reasonable fee structure and strong placement outcomes, the college provides good value for money. While there is room for improvement in academics and infrastructure, it is a solid choice for students looking for affordable education with decent career prospects.
The college offers a balanced experience with a mix of decent academics, good campus life, and affordable fees. While the academic curriculum is standard and sometimes leans towards theoretical knowledge, the teaching faculty makes an effort to guide students. Workshops and seminars happen occasionally but could be more frequent to keep up with industry trends. The campus life, however, is one of the highlights. The environment is vibrant and welcoming, with a variety of cultural, technical, and sports events organized throughout the year. Clubs and student organizations are active, giving students plenty of opportunities to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and socialize. The friendly atmosphere among students and staff makes the college experience enjoyable. Infrastructure-wise, the facilities are basic but functional, with some areas needing improvement. However, the energy and camaraderie on campus often make up for these shortcomings. The canteen, while not luxurious, serves as a hub for students to hang out and unwind. Placements are another strong point, with the college ensuring good opportunities for students through its well-connected placement cell. Overall, the college provides a blend of academics, campus life, and placements, making it a good choice for students looking for an affordable yet fulfilling college experience.
The college provides basic infrastructure with well-maintained labs and classrooms. While the library is well-equipped, other facilities like sports grounds and hostels require significant upgrades to meet student needs.
The academic curriculum is comprehensive, and the professors are supportive, although more emphasis on hands-on training and real-world applications would be beneficial. Guest lectures by industry experts are a positive aspect.
Placements are decent for software and IT branches, with companies like Wipro and TCS being regular recruiters. Core engineering branches see fewer opportunities. The highest package can go up to ₹10-12 LPA, while the average is around ₹4 LPA.
The college is affordable for most students. While the education quality is good, additional resources for career development in non-IT branches could provide better value.
Campus life is vibrant, with regular cultural events, tech fests, and sports tournaments. The college promotes extracurricular activities, but hostel life can be challenging due to limited facilities.
Campus is neat and clean. Modern classrooms with sufficient lab facilities are available. The library is well-stocked but gets very crowded during peak hours. Average hostel accommodations; room for improvement in cleanliness.
The academics were structured, the professors were helpful, and knowledgeable, but workshops and seminars are organized on a regular basis to enhance practical knowledge. It focuses less on project-based learning.
Placements are good for IT-related branches, with major recruiters offering roles in software and consultancy. However, non-IT branches like Civil and Mechanical face limited placement opportunities. Average packages range between ₹3.5 to ₹5 LPA.
The fees are quite reasonable, and students feel the investment is worthwhile considering the quality of education and campus facilities. However, more internship opportunities would add to its value.
The campus life is lively, with students participating in technical fests, sports meets, and cultural programs. Clubs and societies cater to diverse interests, creating an engaging and inclusive atmosphere.
The college has well-maintained campuses with all the necessary infrastructures; there are libraries, laboratories, canteens, and shops, making amenities available for the students. The infrastructure is mainly good as there is a better playground and efforts made to maintain hygiene standards.
Strong academic environment with focus on quality teaching. Experienced, supportive faculty encourages students to be involved in extracurricular activities. Curricula are frequently updated according to industry standards; hence, knowledge and skills can be relevant and applicable.
Placement opportunities are especially promising for students in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Electronics and Communication Engineering with placement rates of 70% to 90%. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Infosys. The highest salary packages have reached ₹18 LPA, while the average packages range around ₹4-5 LPA. Placements for core branches like Mechanical and Civil Engineering are relatively low.
The college provides a good return on investment, especially for students in branches with higher placement rates. Tuition fees are reasonable, and the quality of education combined with placement opportunities makes it a worthwhile choice for many students.
The students appear to enjoy themselves generally. The campus life is full of different extracurricular activities and events, and the campus is friendly and conducive to personal development with ample opportunity to participate in sports, cultural events, and technical festivals.
Based on the factors described above, Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College can be considered as a sound engineering institution, especially for students pursuing computer science, information technology, or electronics and communication engineering degrees. Good infrastructure, cooperative faculty, and fair placement opportunities add to its reputation among the students
A very big playground is provided to the students for outdoor games such as football and cricket. All necessary instruments and infrastructure as well as equipment are present here with proper maintenance of hygiene

The academics of the college is good. the examination are conducted on time and very strictly. lots of student get backlog in their semester exams and even year lag. i am a student of information technology because it has high demand noe a days. the curriculum gives us chance to correct our communicatin skill beside it we have learn coding skill by other sources.
only student of fourth year with no backlog are allowed to sit for campus placement. the toppers of each branch get around 6 lakh per annum. the average student get around 3 lakh per annum. almost 75% of software engineering branch get placement.student of core branch either get very low package or no placement. the average package is 3 lakh per annum.
the total yearly fee is 224000 without hostel and with hostel it is 304000. the money invested n college is not worthy as the subjects are very old. the hiring companies search foe skill which is not taught by the faculties of the institute.
the college campus life is good. it has gym, emergency medical facility and all the sports facility which is maintained in a regular basis. martial arts like karate is practised in the campus. the college location is in rural. student has walk approx 2 km to reach nearest bus stand.
Library is there which is quite good. Not all classrooms have smart board's.College used to maintain them and as per the amount I have paid it's quite worth it. They maintain hygiene and keep the campus clean all time.
Talking about BBA. finance according to me it's not at all updated in areas of Statistics and Corporate Finance but incase if Marketing it's updated as per Market. College used to follow makaut curriculum as it is under makaut.
BBA placement is not at all good ,No good reputed company visited our campus and even if some visited they only offered sales job role. But BCA placement is very good where many of my friend's are placed in Wipro ,Congizant, Accenture & TCS.
1 lakh 65k 730 including books ,uniform and everything which is required. 27k is the approx tution fees of per semester. Apart from placement my college is a value for money and I would recommend anyone if you don't look up for placement.
Our campus consists of playground where we used to play football. Medical room is there and it's well equipped for emergency purposes.Teachers are supportive and they helped me if I have any doubt and they are approachable.
