Faculty of Technology Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari is a constituent college of Cooch Behar, West Bengal. Faculty of Technology Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari is approved by AICTE and provides education in agricultural engineering. The B. Tech Agricultural Engineering course of Faculty of Technology is mainly merit-based and adopts a systematic procedure to choose the most deserving candidates.

The primary entrance test accepted for admission is the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). This test is typically administered offline and will be taken on April 26, 2025. Candidates must sit for the WBJEE and obtain a qualifying rank to qualify for admission into the B. Tech Agricultural Engineering course.

JELET - for Lateral Entry admission into 3rd semester (2nd year) - Eligible candidates can submit their application through JELET Eligible candidates for Lateral Entry must have passed diploma in Engineering/Technology from an AICTE-approved Polytechnic/Institute with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of reserved categories) or must have passed 12th standard with Mathematics and hold a B. Sc. degree from UGC-approved Universities with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories)

Application Process

Steps to Apply for B. Tech Agricultural Engineering Course Faculty of Technology Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari Step 1: -

1. You will be required to register and apply for the WBJEE test on the official WBJEE website.
2. Appear in the WBJEE on the given date (April 26, 2025 in the next academic session).
3. After WBJEE results are announced, shortlisted candidates may participate in counselling.
4. At the time of counselling candidate must choose Faculty of Technology, UBKV as Institute and B. Tech Agricultural Engineering as Course option
5. On allotment of seat, candidates have to report at the Institute for verification of documents and admission formalities.

For Lateral Entry admissions:

1. Apply for the JELET examination.
2. Appear for JELET on the scheduled date.
3. Qualified candidates can participate in the JELET counseling process.
4. During counseling choose Faculty of Technology UBKV and B. Tech Agricultural Engineering.
5. If allotted, report to the institute for admission procedures.

Degree wise Admission Process

B. Tech Agricultural Engineering: The Faculty of Technology provides a 4-year B. Tech course in Agricultural Engineering. There are 30 seats available in this course. The course is provided through the WBJEE. The candidate is selected based on his performance in the entrance examination and overall academic merit.

Lateral Entry: 20% of the total intake is allotted to Lateral Entry candidates who enter directly into the 3rd semester. These admissions are made through JELET. The candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the JELET examination.
