Kingston Polytechnic College, Duttapukur Admission Process

Kingston Polytechnic College adopts merit-based admission procedures via Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). Diploma in Civil Engineering: This course consists of 180 seats, with the same admission policy as that of Mechanical Engineering.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: Admission to this program is also based on the JEXPO rank and that of the 10th standard, and 180 seats are available for this course.

Diploma in Computer Science and Technology: This program provides 60 seats wherein the admission process is almost consistent with other courses; a valid JEXPO rank and a minimum of 35% completed in the 10th examination are required.

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: This program offers 60 seats and has been made possible by the criteria of standard admission, which is JEXPO performance-based.

Diploma in Automobile Engineering: This also has a capacity of 60 seats but follows similar processes as the rest of courses during admission.

To determine final admission among all these programs, it requires that candidates should have at least completed their 10th standard with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. The merit list generated based on the JEXPO ranks of the applicants is what determines the final selection.
