Yes, you can appear for BITSAT, but cant get admission based on your board mark. Applicants should have passed 12th or equivalent exam (from any state or central board) with 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology. They also should have scored 60% marks separately in each of the three subjects. You have to clear the cutoff of bitsat to get admission in bits.

Birla institute of technology and science is one of the top colleges in India. And yes, it takes private admissions, and if you want to take admission in bits then you must qualify the exam called BITSAT which is one of the most reputed exams in India and is conducted or hosted by the college itself. For giving this test you must fulfill certain eligibility criterias like
1. You should be proficient in English.
2. You must have passed your 12th with a recognized board like CBSE, ICSE,etc.
3. You should score 75% collectively in the three subjects which are of course Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and minimum of 60% in each subject must be achieved.
The private board candidates can also apply in bitsat.

Usually xii board score for nit and IIT colleges is Minimum 75% in PCM subjects. This year due to Covid 19 pandemic, flexibility is given for xii board score. For IIT and nit admissions you must have passed xii board regardless of marks..

In 2021 you can appear for jee main and try for nit and IIT.

Eligibility - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 in Physics chemistry and Mathematics /biology with minimum 75 percent marks aggregate from a recognized board.

You can give BITSAT exam if you want but you won't be allowed for admission in BITS as BITS strictly requires you to have 75% aggregate in PCM. Without that, you aren't eligible for admission in BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Goa Campus or Hyderabad Campus, irrespective of your BITSAT score.
