Chandigarh University Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #1 Among all Private Indian Universities in QS Asia Rankings 2025 | Scholarships worth 210 CR
Though IIIT-A leads in placements, infrastructure and education quality; DTU has a better campus life and a better location as well. We can’t deny that fact.
For admission to DTU's CSE program under the OBC-NCL category from outside Delhi, selection is based on JEE Main ranks. In 2024, the closing rank for this category was around 5,254. While the required percentile varies yearly, a JEE Main percentile above 98.5% is generally needed to secure a rank within this range. The actual cutoff depends on factors like exam difficulty and the number of applicants, so it may fluctuate each year.
With a 93.66 percentile in JEE Mains January session, your estimated All India Rank (AIR) is between 53,000 and 62,000. As an OBC-NCL candidate under the Delhi domicile, you qualify for the Home State OBC-NCL quota in JAC Delhi counseling. However, securing a Computer Science seat at DTU or NSUT is highly competitive. In previous years, the closing rank for CSE under this quota was around 13,567 at DTU. Your chances for CSE are low, but you may secure admission in other branches or institutions. Participating in counseling and keeping alternative options open is advisable.
hi ,
congratulations on achieving 93.99 percentile in jee main 2025
Achieving a 93.66 percentile in the JEE Main January session places your All India Rank (AIR) approximately between 57,000 and 60,000. With the Delhi home state quota and being from the General category, securing admission to Delhi Technological University (DTU) or Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) in top-tier branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology (IT) may be challenging, as these programs typically have higher cutoff ranks.
However, you might have a chance in other engineering branches. Here's a summary of the previous year's closing ranks for various branches under the General category with Delhi home state quota:
Delhi Technological University (DTU):
Branch | Closing Rank |
---|---|
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) | 12,948 |
Information Technology (IT) | 16,364 |
Software Engineering (SE) | 19,231 |
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) | 27,432 |
Electrical Engineering (EE) | 37,615 |
Mechanical Engineering (ME) | 52,903 |
Civil Engineering (CE) | 72,407 |
Environmental Engineering (ENE) | 81,658 |
Biotechnology (BT) |
80,740
|
Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT):
Branch | Closing Rank |
---|---|
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) | 10,174 |
Information Technology (IT) | 16,910 |
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) | 29,503 |
Electrical Engineering (EE) | 40,849 |
Mechanical Engineering (ME) | 59,268 |
Civil Engineering (CE) | 72,407 |
Environmental Engineering (ENE) | 81,658 |
Biotechnology (BT) | 83,392 |
Given your rank, you may have a reasonable chance for branches like Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Biotechnology at DTU and NSUT.
Please note that cutoffs vary annually based on factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability, and exam difficulty. For the most accurate and updated information, refer to the official Joint Admission Counseling (JAC) Delhi website

Hello,
The fee structure for Scheduled Caste (SC) students at Delhi Technological University (DTU) is generally lower than for general category students, thanks to government fee concessions and scholarships. While specific fees may vary by program, SC students often benefit from fee waivers or reductions, especially in tuition fees. For accurate details, it's best to consult DTU's official website or contact the admission office, as fees can change each academic year.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you

Electrical department is old but the infrastructure is good and well maintained. I have ece but i attend my classes in Electrical block . Here we have multiple buildings and canteen which are properly maintained and i see cleaners cleaning the toilets and corridors everyday
College infrastructure is so good and the design and college structure is very good. I have been like 2 years from now and u love this college . And also the quality of material gives by the college is very good.
Moderate infrastructure, not really out of the ordinary. Some classes are too old and need some serious refurbishment, there is also a lake in college which the college facility does not keep clean at all.
