BITS Pilani Facilities

BITS Pilani offers a wide range facilities to the students, staff and faculty members. Some of the BITS Pilani facilities include a boys hostel, girls' hostel, library, sports, gym, swimming pool, cafeteria, auditorium, medical/hospital, IT infrastructure, laboratories, guest room and many more. The institute provides well-furnished and well-ventilated hostels for both boys and girls students.

Students at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani are encouraged to participate in both indoor and outdoor sports for their physical and mental well-being. BITS Pilani facilities also include an on-campus swimming pool, gym, medical clinic, guest room and several others. BITS Pilani laboratory facilities are also equipped with instruments and lab trainers to guide the students.

Boys Hostel
BITS Pilani provides well-furnished hostels with a common room, TV, telephone, internet connection, solar water heating systems and many more.
Girls Hostel
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani girls hostel facilities include well-furnished rooms equipped with modern appliances. Free internet and recreational facilities like TV are also available in the hostels.
Gym
BITS Pilani gym facilities are available for both boys and girls students. The gym also has a trainer to guide the students.
Library
Numerous resources like textbooks, reference books, national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines and many more are available in the library to support learning and project work of the students.
Sports
Indoor and outdoor sports like chess, carrom, badminton, table tennis, tennis, cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, hockey are available on the campus. The institute has martial art instructors and other supporting staff and also conducts BITS Open Sports Meet (BOSM) every year for the first semester students.
I.T Infrastructure
The IT infrastructure of the institute is well-maintained. It controls and manages the networking of the entire campus.
Cafeteria
BITS Pilani has a well-ventilated cafeteria. The cafeteria serves hygienically-prepared fresh meals to the students and staff members at reasonable prices.
Auditorium
The auditorium is well-equipped with LCD projectors, and audio-video systems and is used for conducting events and seminars.
Alumni Associations
BITS Alumni Affairs (BITSAA) Cell is functioning at the Institute as a nodal agency for maintaining liaison with the alumni all over the world and to involve them in the development of the institute.
Swimming Pool
The institute has an on-campus swimming pool for water-related activities like racing, water polo and many more.
Laboratories
The institute has departmental laboratories. BITS Pilani laboratory facilities include modern equipment and apparatus to help the students in practicals.
Guest Room/Waiting Room

College Infrastructure

The newer hostels boast better facilities and infrastructure than the ones which were constructed during the initial years of the college. The mess food is of acceptable quality, but it misses out on a lot of variety, and the menu feel quite repetitive after a few weeks. Library is huge, and the medical center has all the facilities that a medical clinic provides.

Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are great. Many food options are available. Sports and medicinal facilities are also available. Faculty members are helpful and provide the right guidance in every problem. The library is accessible to all with books of all genres. Acad block has air-conditioners, so students generally study in the library during summer-time.
