The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar hostel has well-furnished hostel rooms with central air conditioning for students. There are a total of 8 hostels complex. The hostel also consists of recreational facilities for students such as a student lounge with snooker table, TV, art room, music room and common rooms.

A well trained instructor is employed as staff in the institute for training students in sports and physical fitness. The institute has a dedicated ground for sports such as Volleyball, Football, Basketball and cricket.

With special emphasis on fitness and a healthy lifestyle, IIT Gandhinagar is well-equipped with a gym remodeled with a good selection of free weights and machines, for a full and complete body workout. It is open for all the students, staff and faculty of IIT Gandhinagar. The gym consists of equipment suitable for cardio as well as strength training. The gymnasium is open 24x7.

The IIT Gandhinagar library has a growing collection of some of the advanced books and literature for varied fields of study at the institute. The library has over 27,000 unique books pertaining to multiple domains of study.

A highly qualified physical education instructor is on the staff to train students. Grounds are available for football, cricket, volleyball, and basketball. Facilities for indoor games such as badminton and table tennis have also been made available. A modern multi-purpose gym is available along with gym instructors.

Computer facilities at IITGN have been developed with high-end hardware, a wide range of software and excellent connectivity so that students, faculty and staff can carry out their work without interruptions. They can view and download information efficiently for their research, home assignments and other scholarly activities. The LAN setup integrates the entire IITGN community into a single unit. The Institute premises and the student hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. Important scientific software such as Mathematica, PSCAD 4.2, STATA 11.1, Matlab, ANSYS Multi-Physics Simulation software which includes a variety of CFD software such as Fluent, ICEM-CFD and CFX and Finite Element Software for structural analysis and for problems involving multi-body dynamics, STAR-CCM+ CFD Software and Autodesk Inventor CAD software etc.

The campus also has eateries for its students where students can enjoy different foods and drinks at the campus. Eateries like Anytime Fast Food, Amul store, Dawat foods, Nutririch provide good quality food and beverages for students of the campus.

The IIT Gandhinagar has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

About IIT Gn Alumni Affairs - The Office of Alumni Relations at IIT Gandhinagar was established with the motive to give a platform for the Alumni to contact and connect with the alma mater. The alumni of IIT Gandhinagar can contact Alumni Relations office for any requests related to the institute. The office will also act as a catalyst to improve the connections of IITGN alumni and give an opportunity to cash-in on each other’s knowledge and help create a network of well-informed and well-connected alumni who are willing to help each other and the Institute. It will also keep alumni updated about various activities that are happening in the campus, thus helping them to stay connected with IIT Gandhinagar.

The institute houses various research libraries equipped with state of the art equipment for students to experiment with and work on various areas of research and development of innovations and ideas.

The IIT Gandhinagar campus houses several shops for the convenience of students. There are grocery and vegetable shops for residents and other stores for student needs.

The IITGN campus has a network of LAN setup throughout the college integrating different departments of the college together for synergy. The campus and hostels also have WIFi connectivity through for uninterrupted learning.

The infrastructure of IIT Gandhinagar has spent enough thought in making the campus green and curbing any unnecessary carbon emissions through the campus. Students have the facility of using a green shuttle service through the campus that will prohibit multiple vehicles in the area and lead to lesser emissions.
