Hello student,

When it comes to the branch Electronics and communication Engineering, then Indian institute of information technology Delhi is pretty good than Indian institute of information technology Allahabad.

Infact, bth the colleges are pretty decent and have a really good college life. But when it comes to course curriculum and quality of education etc  Indian institute of information technology Delhi is better than Indian institute of information technology Allahabad.

Interms of placements too, former is the better one. Faculty are well experienced one and the course curriculum too is designed in a way that students gets more hands on experience than just the therotical knowledge.

Hi there!

Reasons to join DTU/NSIT instead of IIIT-D:

Established Brand name.

Much of the CREAMY LAYER comes here.

You may not be totally comfortable being a computer programmer, and may wish to look for Non-tech/extra curricular activities.

You get ample free time apart from college to pursue WHICHEVER activity you want, be it MUN, DEBATING, DANCE, MUSIC, PROGRAMMING, SPORTS, READING, preparation for HIGHER STUDIES/MBA/IAS etc.

Few profs are highly into their respective fields and most profs give marks. Chilled out most of the times. Always ready to help.

The Cultural Fests are really once in a LIFETIME sort of events with amazing performances from other college students as well as Celebrities.

PLACEMENTS!!! PLACEMENTS!!! PLACEMENTS!!!

Reasons to join IIIT-D instead of DTU/NSIT:

High Internet (wifi/LAN) speed. DTU has wifi but slower speed, while NSIT only has wifi in and around a few labs.

Most profs are HIGHLY QUALIFIED in their fields and will help you relatively much more.

Fully A/C campus.

It’s raising the level every year and catching up fast with DTU/NSIT/new IITs’ standards in terms of placements. Students cross over often for internships/projects.

Really good place if you are slightly geekish and REALLY INTO CODING and TECH-RELATED STUFF.

Better place to go to if you wish to pursue Research Abroad in computers as much of the faculty are PHD’s and researchers from really good foreign universities.

Second best institute (after IIT-D) to pursue good quality Computer Science education in Delhi.

Even I was faced with this choice a year before. I’m pursuing IT at NSIT.

I don’t know how far or near is your home to any of these colleges and thus I didn’t comment on it. However most students including Delhiites get hostel room easily at NSIT.

Rest I leave to you.

Hello Student,

A rank of 106078 in general category is a low rank and it can be tough since you are aiming at IIIT Delhi which is one of the premier institutions of the country. The courses offered at IIIT are ECE, CSE and IT. But these courses are very high in demand and hence require a high rank to get into. And due to the increasing competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities as well . The courses in demand ask for higher ranks and hence it would be a bit tough for top ranked courses like Computer Science Engineering or IT.

Some other good universities with this rank would be:

1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai

2. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh

3. Delhi University

4. Shiv Nadar University, Delhi

5. SRM University

Dear Aspirant,

According to your rank, you have no or very very low chances of getting any of the above colleges as considering previous year cut offs of JAC councelling, you have high rank than the required rank. But You might get some other good government college in Delhi or in other states like Haryana. So you should go for that.

Also the above prediction is based on previous year data and cut off changes every year,So final results may vary.

Hope this helps. Thank You.

Hello
it is difficult to tell you about this because the cut off varies year to year and depends on:

Number of aspirants appearing for the exam

Number of aspirants applying for the exam

Number of aspirants qualifying the exam

Difficulty level of the paper

Previous year cut off trends

However, Comparing with previous year's cut off's You have less chances of getting a seat in IIIT DELHI for computer science and artificial intelligence( CSAI). The previous year's OBC cut off for outside delhi was around AIR 15700 .

however you have chances in many top NITs and other IIITs and many top private colleges.
You can also use the college predictor tool and participate in Jossa counselling to get a list of colleges available to you:
