Indraprastha Institute of information technology Delhi is one of the finest Institutes in india. The College is obviously the best choice for Btech in ECE stream. The College infrastructure and facilities are good. Enough. The campus placements are also good enough for CSE,ECE and IT students. Because Many software companies visit the campus. So its a better one.

As of today, in IITs and NITs too, there is no provision of lateral entry by any means. The only way a candidate or a student can get admission into any of the IITs is by appearing in JEE Advanced. There is no other way to do the bachelor degree from IITs apart from that.

You have certainly the chances of getting admission into DTU with your rank of mains. Last year too students were able to seek admission through JAC. Your rank is fine and could obviously get a seat in this college. However choice of branch may be a factor of concern as it may take two to three rounds for confirming the branch.

I can provide you the previous year cutoffs of both IIIT Delhi and IIIT Bangalore for the OBC-NCL category.

There is NO chance of selection through your General Rank i.e. 52,000.

IIIT Delhi-

In 2017, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 1,21,508 (Delhi Region)

Closing Rank- 19,103 (Outside Delhi Region)

In 2018, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 1,74,674 (Delhi Region)

Closing Rank- 17,366 (Outside Delhi Region)

IIIT Bangalore-

In 2017, after the last round-

Cutoff Marks (in JEE Main Paper 1)- 186 

In 2018, after the last round-

Cutoff marks (in JEE Main Paper 1)- 170

Congratulations on getting shortlisted in IIITD Merit list. Now you have to report in the reporting center as mentioned in your Provisional seat Allotment letter on the date and time for Document Verification. After verification of document, you can choose to Freeze/Float in the further rounds of the counseling for upgradation.

IITD prepares its own rank list which takes in the count of your percentile. So if you have “x” bonus marks then for IIITD rank list your percentile will be (your jee main percentile + x).

Also, IIITD rank list takes count only those candidates who had filled IIITD in their preference list not everyone.

So I hope you understand their selection procedure.

If you have missed counseling someone else might have taken your seat. Still once you might try to contact thrt via call to put forward your case 

Analysing the previous year cuttoff, and this year statistics it looks like getting ECE is quite possible, but due to change in the jee pattern this year, the exams will being held twice before a student can qualify for jee advance .So, previous year data isn't as dependable as it used to be to remain on top of things it's better to keep backup plans at your ready. I personally believe that rank 14210 would be a safe score to bag a seat in such streams.
