Computer Science focuses on the science of computing. But computing is now a powerful engineering tool for problem-solving in a variety of domains. It is therefore desirable to have a CSE program, which, besides developing the computing sciences foundations, also develops in students the engineering skills for problem-solving using computing sciences. The program at IIIT-Delhi “inverts the pyramid” and start with computing oriented courses first, and then provides flexibility for taking a variety of courses later. This empowers the students earlier to explore newer applications of computing and apply computing techniques in different domains.

Eligibility Criteria

70% marks in aggregate for five subjects (including Physics, Chemistry and Maths) and 70% in Maths in class XII from CBSE board or equivalent.

Admission Details

B.Tech. Admissions to various programs of IIITD will be done through Joint Admission Counselling, JAC-Delhi, and through IIITD admission process using UCEED rank (Only for some seats in CSD) and Class XII Marks (Only for some seats in CSSS). Details regarding the number of seats, eligibility, merit list and admission process are given in B.Tech. admission brochure. Admissions for foreign nationals/PIOs/NRIs will be through DASA and directly through IIITD process - more details are available here.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the institute is very nice it includes many of the things like Seminar Block, R&D block, Classrooms, Research labs, Library, Information centre, Incubation centre, Dining block, Hostel for boys and girls, Canteen and Faculty residence block, etc. A 24*7 Wi-Fi is available in our institute. The qualities are very nice and most of them are 24*7 available. The quality of the food is also very nice in the mess and canteen. The other amenities available in the campus are Playing feild, Indoor badminton court, Gym, Basket and volleyball courts.

IIIT Delhi is one of the best college.

College Infrastructure

The hostel facilities are excellent, offering well-equipped rooms with a bed (no mattress), a table with drawers, overhead storage, a wooden slab, and an almirah. Common amenities include a fridge and microwave on the ground floor of each hostel, along with a common room furnished with a foosball table, sofas, tables, chairs, and a large TV for watching movies and shows. There are no curfew timings. Each floor has two washrooms on either side, with 4 toilets, 5 showers, and 3 washbasins.

College Infrastructure

IIIT-D has state of art IT tools for communication & computation needs within the institute, supported by fast, reliable & rugged 500+ node computer network. The institute has more than 100 laptops issued to its faculty, staff and students. The institute has 91 printers and scanners to provide printing and other facilities. In order to facilitate proper teaching aid, all classrooms here are equipped with projectors and audio systems. All the hostels, faculty blocks, administrative block, library, classrooms and residences, are connected through redundant 10 gigabit fiber backbone network. All the blocks are connected through layer 2 & 3 switches to provide 1Gbps connectivity at the user end. Every hostel room has a dedicated LAN connection to provide round the clock access to resources on the net. Wireless network with 92 access points is also enabled in the faculty block, library, classrooms and hostel blocks.
