I would say that the facilities provided in our college was very good. Though campus was in small area still the infrastructure was very nice , classrooms were very good fully furnished , clean and also same for library and laboratories. Sports and medical facilities were also provided for all students.
The teachers faculty of our college is well qualified from top colleges. They always made us understand things very easily as mostly of them always had practical approach in teaching. The semester exams were of moderate level not that much difficult. The course study is always use to be relevant.
I would give 10 out of 10 remarks in terms of placements to our college. Our college has provided many good opportunities to all the students and percentage of students getting placed is increasing every year. Highest package during our time was around 86LPA and average package was around 20LPA.
College has tall buildings. Every laboratory has necessary equipment. College has a facility of clean water. Every class room has projector, smart boards and good furniture. College has a large playground. Most of the campus area is covered with fertile land which used for research. College is well maintained. Hostels are also clean and well maintained. Overall infrastructure and facilities are good.
NIT Delhi is one of the well known colleges for Academics in India. All the professors are from good IIT and IIM colleges and trained in good supervision. They know how to handle and support the students. Curriculum is also up to date with the recent developments made in the field. Quality of teaching is good that's why it comes into top college in India.
If I talk about placement college holds the highest placement record of 52 LPA. College has high potential so that many companies came here for placement and offers alluring packages to the students. Almost every student got placed. Highest salary offered was 52 LPA which goes for CSE course. Average salary was 16 LPA. College is too supportive in placement process.
Our university has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. The classrooms are so spacious. Every hostel has its seperate mess. Library is so beautiful. Lastly I want to say our whole campus is so beautiful and well furnished.
The quality of teaching is good here .I find it good to be taught here and I feel course curriculum is updated and is helpful for all of us . We gets to learn many new things here . They make us job ready .
The quality of placement at your college is quite better here . The average salary offered here is 8 lpa . Highest percentage of students are placed here . The placement process is pleasant . Our university is quite supportive.
The value of money is good here and I find they are using money wisely and properly. Course cost per year is reasonable here . Also they are using money for our goods only . At some points only they are wrong .
Campus life here is very good and interesting. They give us lots of opportunities to showcase our talent and also views here are so beautiful . Here lot of events happen. I feel very good here and I take part in different events.
Overall the college is good and I feel good to take addmission here and I would recommend it to others . Our college has all the facilities and equipments which is very good . Placements are also good here.
Wi-Fi is there in hostel and even in the admin block 24 hrs. Enough equipments and components are there in labs, all computers work well in labs. Labs are fully furnished and fully functional. We have smartboards in every classroom and professors used to teach us from those boards only. Three canteens are there in the whole campus. And the mess is as usual not so good but enough to satisfy your hunger.
Teachers are very helpful and cooperative. All the professors hold Ph.D. degree in there respective field and are well researched Student to teacher is also very good about 12:1. Yes, course curriculum is very good here. Expect some electrical subject in. Other then that all the course is making us industry ready. Semesters exam are not very tough if you have listen in the class then you can easily clear the exams.
95 percent students are placed in our college, many have more then one offers, the highest package is about 65 Lacs, and the lowest is 7 LPA, and average package is 18 LPA Top recruiter are samsung, amd, book my show etc. Internship offer are very less here. Less then half of the student get internship offer
Classrooms are well equipped with good seats, smart boards, air conditioning, and WiFi. Hostels for 1st year onwards are also good and have all facilities. The college does not have a huge library and huge collection of books but is upgrading on a regular basis. All the basic and regular subject books are available. Laboratories are bad and have old equipment which is either not working or faulty, although all laboratories are under upgradation.
Initiatives are taken to improve the output of what we study. However professors are not very qualified, most of them don't have good subject knowledge and almost all professors waste time, and still focus on attendance and irrelevant assignments rather than regular quizzes, experimentation, and application of what we study. We are graded based on how well we can mug up and write in mid-sem and end-sem exams, irrespective of the knowledge we gained.
Placements have grown significantly in the last few years. But the ongoing year is observing a jerk in it due to many factors like- the recession scenario in the US and many other countries, war situations, uncertainty, funding winter in startups, new upskilled job roles due to AI, etc. 95-100% students got placed in last few years. Last year's highest package was 82lpa, by Atlassian secured by an EEE girl, and the average salary offered was around 16lpa.
Total Fee along with hostel and mess go up to 9-10 lakhs for 4 years. But for ST/SC and OBC, there are fee concessions, and also for low-income categories, there are fee concessions. Keep that in mind if you don't get and fee concession and scholarship, it is worth studying from NIT Delhi as overall facilities are good and improving regularly and placements stats are also good so far.
Campus life is not happening because of irrelevant restrictions, low activity of clubs and societies, and location drawbacks. The college has a night in-time of 9 pm and a hostel in-time of 9:30 pm and no night canteen. Even canteens are very bad, and not many restaurants and cafes or anything in the nearby region. Sports culture is good but other clubs and societies are not that active due to low active faculty coordinators, less supportive staff, and internal politics between faculties.
One must compare NIT Delhi with any other colleges based on all parameters and not only a few. In general, if your goal is to get good placements and you are not much into academics and social activities then you can surely say NIT Delhi is a good option. But if for you good alumni, college life, and academics matter then must look for other options.

Hello,
To gain admission into NIT Delhi with an SC category reservation and a 12th-grade percentage of 72.8%, you will primarily need to focus on your JEE Main score and percentile, as NITs (National Institutes of Technology) primarily use JEE Main scores for admissions. Here’s a general overview of what you should consider:
JEE Main Percentile : NIT Delhi, being one of the more prestigious NITs, generally requires a high percentile in the JEE Main exam for admission. For SC category students, the cutoff percentile is usually lower compared to the General category, but it still needs to be reasonably high.
12th Grade Percentage : While your 12th-grade percentage is important for eligibility, the primary criterion for NIT admissions is the JEE Main score and percentile. Your percentage is sufficient for eligibility, but your JEE Main performance will be crucial.
Based on historical data and trends:
Aim for a High Percentile : Focus on achieving a high percentile in the JEE Main exam. Aiming for a percentile above 90 is a good target for the SC category to increase your chances of admission to NIT Delhi.
Check Previous Year Cutoffs : Review previous years' cutoffs for SC category students for NIT Delhi to understand the trend and set a realistic target for your percentile.
Prepare for JEE Advanced : If you qualify for JEE Advanced, aim for a strong performance there as well, as it will further influence your chances of getting into NITs.
Stay Updated : Keep an eye on official announcements from NIT Delhi and the JEE Main organizing body for the latest information on cutoffs and admission criteria.
To maximize your chances of admission to NIT Delhi with your current academic background, aim for a JEE Main percentile of around 90 or higher. This will make you competitive for admission under the SC category. If you achieve a percentile in this range, you should have a good chance of securing a seat in one of the branches at NIT Delhi.
Hope it helps !
Hello Anjali,
With a GATE score of 357 in the SC category, securing admission to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at NIT Delhi might be challenging, but it’s not impossible. Here are some considerations:
1.
Previous Year Cutoffs:
Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
For students belonging to the ST (Scheduled Tribe) category pursuing a B.Tech degree at NIT Delhi, the fee structure is typically designed to be more affordable compared to general category students.
As of recent studies and trends, the annual fee for ST category students is approximately 20,000 to 25,000. This includes tuition fees, registration fees, and other charges like library and examination fees.
However, this figure may vary slightly each year due to adjustments in university policies or fee revisions. Also, ST students are eligible for various scholarships and financial aid schemes, which can further reduce the overall cost.
To get the more precise and current fee details, you can visit the official NIT Delhi website or contact the institute admissions office directly.
Hope this resolves your query.
