NIT Delhi cutoff 2025 will be influenced by many factors. Some of the factors influencing the NIT Delhi cut off are given below.
Change in Exam Difficulty: If the JEE Main 2025 paper is relatively easier then the NIT Delhi cutoff will be higher.
Increased Competition: Increase in the number of JEE Main applicants has increased competition and the JEE Main cutoff of NIT Delhi.
Availability of Seats: If the number of seats is high then the cutoff will be comparatively less. If the NIT Delhi has fewer seats, then the cutoff will be comparatively high.
Category-Wise Analysis: Reserved categories like SC/ST/OC-NCL will have different cutoffs. Reserved categories will have less cutoff when compared to unreserved categories.
Choose appropriate books for your preparation: Look for books that are suggested by teachers and books that clearly and concisely explain ideas. NCERT books are a great resource for developing fundamental concepts.
Go through previous years’ papers and mock tests: For students to obtain a sense of the exam format, previous year's papers and JEE mock exams are important resources. Completing practice exams also helps students identify areas for improvement and gain confidence in their preparation.
Time Management: Check for the chapter-wise weightage of the JEE Main 2025. Utilise your most active hours for exploring demanding topics.
Keep revising the topics.
Note: Every year the cutoff varies for each programme and each category.

Hello Priyanshu,
MNIT Allahabad (MNNIT) is one of the oldest and most established NITs, with a strong reputation in engineering. It offers a variety of programs, particularly in fields like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Computer Science Engineering, and has a history of solid industry placements with companies such as Amazon and Google. The campus is large, with excellent extracurricular activities and facilities, making it a top choice for students seeking a well-rounded engineering education.
NIT Delhi , established in 2010, is newer but rapidly gaining recognition, especially in IT and Computer Science. The campus is smaller but modern, with a focus on research and innovation in tech fields. While it doesn't have the same history as MNIT, NIT Delhi has been improving its placement record and industry ties, particularly in the tech sector. It's a good option for students interested in cutting-edge research and emerging technologies.
In summary, MNIT Allahabad offers a more established and comprehensive engineering experience, while NIT Delhi offers a modern, research-focused environment with strong prospects in tech-related fields.

Hello,
To gain admission into NIT Delhi with an SC category reservation and a 12th-grade percentage of 72.8%, you will primarily need to focus on your JEE Main score and percentile, as NITs (National Institutes of Technology) primarily use JEE Main scores for admissions. Here’s a general overview of what you should consider:
JEE Main Percentile : NIT Delhi, being one of the more prestigious NITs, generally requires a high percentile in the JEE Main exam for admission. For SC category students, the cutoff percentile is usually lower compared to the General category, but it still needs to be reasonably high.
12th Grade Percentage : While your 12th-grade percentage is important for eligibility, the primary criterion for NIT admissions is the JEE Main score and percentile. Your percentage is sufficient for eligibility, but your JEE Main performance will be crucial.
Based on historical data and trends:
Aim for a High Percentile : Focus on achieving a high percentile in the JEE Main exam. Aiming for a percentile above 90 is a good target for the SC category to increase your chances of admission to NIT Delhi.
Check Previous Year Cutoffs : Review previous years' cutoffs for SC category students for NIT Delhi to understand the trend and set a realistic target for your percentile.
Prepare for JEE Advanced : If you qualify for JEE Advanced, aim for a strong performance there as well, as it will further influence your chances of getting into NITs.
Stay Updated : Keep an eye on official announcements from NIT Delhi and the JEE Main organizing body for the latest information on cutoffs and admission criteria.
To maximize your chances of admission to NIT Delhi with your current academic background, aim for a JEE Main percentile of around 90 or higher. This will make you competitive for admission under the SC category. If you achieve a percentile in this range, you should have a good chance of securing a seat in one of the branches at NIT Delhi.
Hope it helps !
