College infrastructure is a well decent enough. With few buildings giving a smell of medieval touch. Campus and hostels are WiFi enabled. It is having on campus hostels. Most of the classrooms are enabled with projectors. Laboratories are equipped with state of the art facilities. Research Labs are also present
It follows the BPUT academic schedule. Well for the new batches it has got autonomous status. Besides the curriculum it has options for research activities as well for the departments of CSE,IT and ECE.
Well placements are mostly in the software sectors with a decent CTC. Well few of the core companies are also visiting for pool campus drives. Recent startup companies are also in the list. This year the highest salary offered was 17LPA in the semiconductors industry.
One of the cheapest colleges in Odisha, while providing decent facilities at par with other colleges of the same level.
Its pretty moderate and decent enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Good.
It's well and good . All the necessary practical things are available. Wifi smart boards are also available. But the router problem lies every time. So college wifi is not that reliable. The living space is maintained clean . And good quality can be said ok.
Quality of teaching is good. I have opted Electrical and electronics engineering branch. Because I am interested in core and wants to get eqal chances in every field. Like multiple career choices. Bput exactly doesn't prepare us for a job only.
A good number of students were placed this year . Highest package offered is 17 LPA . The quality of placements carries year to year and with the batch strength and capability. The lowest package job offered in this college is for the core electrical branch.
Comparing to other colleges the course cost is upto the mark. But the cost can be more affordable. Like every semester book fees are Rs. 7000 may be it is for 2 books or 5 which should not happen. The exact price should be amounted. And coming to the hostel fees. For stay we have to deposit a year payment and mess bill is counted every month. And the payment has been raised from 2200 to 3300 in this 4 years. And the cancellation of mess fee while in leave for a short span is not applicable in th
All students are exposed to different co-curricular with their studies. We have opportunities to choose and continue with our extra activities through a club. The different activities students are engaged like arts, dance ,drama, painting , singing, making electronics gadgets, planning renewable things , different types of sports and many more. All the teachers and staff supports to excel in all these activities. The location of this college is a bit away for all the facilities to be available a
Over all its a good place to gain knowledge. Like every college have its merits and demerits too. So I can say the teaching quality is good here. The teachers are really helpful and also friendly and suportive. But all the facilities provided to the students comparing to others can be made more better with the amount collected yearly from each of the student. The infrastructure can be made more attractive and for comfort education. The rules and regulations are perfect to build up as disciplined
Infrastructure is good... There are buildings situated.. lecture hall complex, atrium, tifac, octagon, galleria.. There are wifi, swimming pool, tennis court, two gardens are available.. A library is also located at octagon
Academics are average.. Earlier there were a lot of good and experienced teachers there... Now things are not the same... The new faculties are not much experienced.... So its difficult to catch up with them.
Placements are good for software field but they are not focusing on core fields and they are bringing same 3, 4 companies every year and they should focus on below standard people rather than highly talented people
To be honest it is not valuable as per money.. You can't spent 6 lakhs with out any assurance of getting a proper job. So you shouldn't be going with this one.. As you are paying money for it.. It's not worthy enough
Campus life is not satisfactory.. Coming to the best part it always nice to be sorrounded by bunch of friend to hangout... And worst part if i start it won't gonna over.. ? And here ambulances are used to carry the grocery items.
Don't go with Nist if you are from outside odisha as per my suggestion.. It is not worth ful.. Unless you are finding a proper college in berhampur.. Overall Nist is not that bad.. But still money matters.. So don't go with it.
*All the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment are provided. *In few classes their are smart boards and were there is camera there is no WiFi otherwise good WiFi connection. Hostel have good WiFi networks.
Studying bachelor's of technology in computer science and engineering. In NIST computer science and technology, information technology and ECE departments are good. No in India very few college provides study that makes you job ready and our company is not one of these.
Placement is good. 60% + students are placed with 3-4 lpa salary package and in 2020 highest salary package is 18.75 lpa in Western digital. Yup college supported and also took us to Bhubaneswar whenever required.
In 2016-2020 batch it costs 1.19 lakhs with academic and other expenses. Hostel charge is different. Overall it costs 1 lakh 47 thousands only. Yes it is little bit worth and their are TFW also in with Odisha students get benefits by only paying the hostel fee i.e 20000 only .
Campus is full of greenery. There are 20+ clubs in NIST Campus so many opportunities for students to learn. Campus is to far from market so it takes time to travel. In Emergency it is to risky, campus is almost 16-17 km far from main Market and hospital.
Food is not good,i would below average. The hostels which are in the city limits gwt better quality of food but are only available for freshers, and for all others it's not even up to standard. Most students bunk hostel for the bery reason.
There are no good faculties for core branches. Some of the good faculties who were present left within years due to tussle with management. Syllabus hardly gets completed before semester and also it doesn't go with present job requirements.
No opportunities for core students. It was good till 2k16 and went downhill since, due to problem in management no care companies come for interviewing, only some IT companies come to recruit, they don't recruit many as the no. of companies gets decreased every year
Our college infrastructure is quite good carrying all the equipments needed for an engineering student. Our libraries are quite good. Hostel is good but girls hostel entry timing is not quite good but that is valid for some reasons.
during our admission period our college was 69th top rank college and providing good placements this was the reason for which a vast number of students were admitted in our year. Faculties were quite good, helping nature, available at 24*7 time.
Placement is not according to satisfaction. Mainly it cse ece students are placed and for core branches less placement is done otherwise sells companies are coming. The lowest package is 3lpa otherwise the highest package is 18lpa.
College infrastructure is well maintained and this environment friendly college.Facilities of classroom,Lab, Library are up to mark and Hdigital board.Sports is average and Hostel have wifi facility and we'll maintained. Food quality is average.
I am pursuing Btech in domain Electronics and communication engineering because I have a lot of Electronics and Robotics .Here My branch teacher are well experienced in research and teaching . Curriculum is updated and include all recent developments in the field.I think if you have the potential to grab it ,It becomes more easy to you to make you job-ready.
Placements for CSE,ECE,EEE are good and for core branch is average. This year highest salary package is 18.75 lakh/annum and They belong to ECE branch. Average salary is 3.2lakh/annum.All know placement process is lemghty and hard work is required but college supports us a lot.
Tution fee per year is about 1,20,000 and I feel that I getting worth because here Teachers are well experienced and understand the concept with ease.
Basically Campus life is more enjoyable and this is best part of life and many memories we got here. Many activities and clubs are there .NSS team is also here. There are approximately 22 clubs which work for betterment of students skills. Student, teacher, staff are supportive Location is safe .Yeah sure it can handle emergency.
Overall I would say if you want to study and do something in research then This college is for you.
Well the college premises is greeny as well as the food is also hygienic. There are 5 building for the academics purposes and all are having a lot number if classroom that is sufficient for all year to stand in a lot. There is availability of Wi-Fi in classroom as well as hostel premises. There are two library one is for normal study purpose and another one is for competitive. All the laboratories having essential equipment. And the sports Centre is also open for eac and every children .
Well I am a student of electrical and electronics. And the quality of teaching by the professor is good not so good but sone professor are knowledgeable and they deliver a good lecture with the practical one so that the student get it easily. Yes some what our curriculum is updated. But my studeg doesn't makes me job ready because being an electrical engineer i should know practical of every machine but in college they only focuses on the theory one.
Quality of placement for non-core student is good but for core student there is no company. 70% student got placed in the 2020 batch. The highest salary was 19.67 lpa for electronics and communication student. Average salary was 4 lpa. I haven't seat in any placement procedure so I don't know but my friend told me that college is very supportive at placement time.
The amount is 119000 per year for the academic. I find my money worth only on academics not in the case of my mess.
I can't say that is best Or worst it is good. Student can engage themselves by joining different club there is 13 clud that binds the Junior and senior to excel themselves. First thing is there is no ragging and every senior supports each and every junior we can say that we can find our second home there and teachers also supports a lot.
Well when I got admission we have classes of 100 min each and tha labs was for 240 min and at the starting everybody becomes frustated of these but these made us so strong so that we can stand anywhere with extra long time.
NIST is situated in the outskirt of Berhampur city. The Infrastructure is good. The campus has three departmental buildings with well-equipped laboratories, one research building, One indoor stadium, and a large cafeteria at the center of campus. A well-facilitated boy's hostel and a girl's hostel are also part of the college premises.
I have pursued my bachelor degree in the stream of Electrical Engineering from NIST. Faculties are average, but they are more serious about academic structure. They take assignments and tests on a regular basis as a part of the curriculum. Doubt clearing sections are mostly taken at the end of each semester. Pre-placement training facilitates for the third year students.
This college is renowned for its placement in the southern Odisha. Placement drives are started to float from the month of September each year. Big technology giants like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Mindtree are the top recruiters. Average salary offered around 3 lakh- 3.5 lakh on an average.
NIST is considered to be a premium private college under BPUT. Studying Bachelor degree here in NIST will cost you around 1.15 lakh per year. As far as hostel fees is concerned, it will cost you around 30000 per year.
You will experience a good campus life in NIST. So many co-curriculum activities are held in the college that will definitely excite you to participate at various events.
This college is well-known for its computer science program with great placement opportunities.
College have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. All the necessary things are available in the college. Libraries and sport centres are available in the college for all the branch.
I am the student from computer science and engineering branch. College more focuse on academic. Here also have NAFS for those who don't have atleast 75% attendance . All theacher are helpful in project.
Placements are average because mostly IT sector companies are visit in the campus. Highest package is 19 lpa . Placement is good for IT,CSE and ECE branch students. Very few core company are visit in the campus.

Hello Aspirant
GITA is superior to NIST in every way, not just with regard to placement. The colleges host the same hiring companies because they are almost in the same geographic vicinity and have nearly identical accreditations. However, I also consider fee structures to be important factors. And the GITA pricing schedule is reasonable.
Thanks
