Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a good branch in NIT Surathkal, which is itself one of the top NITs. The placement percentage has been close to or above 85% for EEE in the past years, sometimes even touching 90% which is a remarkable benchmark. According to the latest data available i.e. 2020 for ECE at NIT Surathkal Placement, 86 students out of 95 were placed with average salary with 96.88% placement percentage.

In 2021 the placement Percentage was 92% with 51.50 lacs of highest package

offered in total.

According to the previous year trends and your rank you will not get NIT surathkal if you are from outside state quota in JOSAA Counselling but if you are eligible for home state quota then you can get branches like Civil, Mining etc.

NITK Surathkal is a good college for Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Almost 95% of students got placed from EEE branch. Most of them had chosen other fields like digital, analogue, machine learning, and data analyst, very few opted electrical field. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, and it was offered by IOCL. Some students got placed in Texas instruments with a salary package of 16 LPA. Students also got placed in Qualcomm with a salary package of 14 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA , and it was offered by TCS, L&T. Companies like PSU's, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, etc., visited our campus for placements. Roles like management engineer trainee were offered to students. Around 50% of students get internships in good companies like Reliance, TI, Qualcomm. Most of them will aim for Mitacs internships.
