The faculty members are very supportive and understanding . They try their best to make the learning process easy and fun with real life examples . The syllabus is relevant , but a little modification will be better .
Even though the Teachers are highly qualified, we have to rely mainly on self study. The course curriculum is advanced and makes the students knowledgeable. There are many Clubs which will help you gain world life experiences. There are clubs for everyone taste and passion.
Most professors are really good and supportive. I have has the pleasure of learning from a few of them. Real cool people. But there exist a few which really need to either up their game or be slightly more considerate towards the students. The syllabus, atleast for EEE and the first year subjects needs to be slightly more updated I feel but again this needs time. If you do attend classes regularly, listen to the professors and are consistent enough scoring a good CGPA is not difficult at all.
Choosing between NIT Surathkal (Mechanical) and RV College of Engineering (CS) depends on your interests and career goals. If you’re passionate about coding, software development, or IT roles, RV’s CS program offers better placement opportunities in the tech industry. On the other hand, NIT Surathkal has a strong reputation, excellent infrastructure, and opportunities in Mechanical Engineering, but placements in core mechanical roles can be more competitive. Evaluate your interests and long-term goals to make the best decision.
