Our college provides excellent Wi-Fi. The labs have good computers. Classrooms are clean and have good lighting effects. The library has many books. The good part is that they allow us to borrow for many days, and the penalty is less for late submissions. Every odd semester, we have a fest. The hostel is not very good, and the food is not good.
Approximately 98% of students get placed. The lowest package is INR 6 LPA, the highest package is around INR 25 LPA, and the average package is INR 13 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Chemist and BioneedsRSC et98% of students get placed. The lowest package is INR 6 LPA, the highest package is around INR 25 LPA, and the average package is INR 13 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Cisco and Amazon. There will be a 2-month summer break to do internships. Around 75% of students take internships.
Teacher qualifications are impressive. Many teachers are Ph.D. holders and very experienced. Exams are conducted very strictly, and you can get good marks if you study from the first day. The pass percentage is 40%. We will have two internals and one end-of-semester exam. Exams are challenging to pass, but they teach us in an understanding way so we can succeed. Last year, the passing rate was 64%.
Infrastructure is really good. Gymkhana is there for sports facilities. Some of the best labs in India. Nice and single hostel rooms. Only drawback is hostel rooms don't have Wi-Fi. Library has a huge collection of books. There are several clubs to fulfill your hobbies.
Faculties are world-class. They are the best in their respective fields. The course curriculum is a little bit tough as you will have a heavy workload in our department. Faculty members are always there to help you. You will learn many new things. Everyone is very helpful. Course feedback is taken every semester to increase the productiveness of the course.
Placements are awesome. You'll be mostly placed in core companies. You can also sit for internships and get good PPO. You can go into the domain you like the most (like digital, embedded, analog and software). Help provided by seniors for placements are awesome.
The infrastructure is literally the best in any premier institute of the country. The classrooms, library, and labs are of international standards. Wi-Fi and network connectivity are amazing in most parts. Food is better than any IIT. The canteens are good. Medical facilities are very good with quick response and great infrastructure. Sports and games facilities are also good. Gymkhana, grounds for many games and many other things are available.
The faculty members are highly qualified. Most of them being researchers. Many are from Harvard, MIT, University of Berkley, etc. The curriculum is really good for research purposes (in BS). The difficulty of exams depends on the professors. Most of the students pass with ease
A majority of students go for higher studies, and very few sit for placements. They grab very good placements. The highest package offered is 40 LPA in B.Sc. From this year onwards, the management is focusing on all aspects of jobs, internships, and co-curricular activities. Grabbing a job and an internship is really easy here, but most people don't go for it. The placement cell is the same for UG and PG courses. The best companies come here for PG students, so the same would replicate for the newly modified UG programs. Companies include Google, Goldman Sachs etc. Top roles are head math researcher, etc.
If you want to do a good research you can go for this college without thinking twice
If you are getting admission to IISc, you are getting a hostel. In the hostel room, you will find a chair, table, locker, bed and light. All the rooms are well ventilated, and, best of luck, you can also get a balcony with a nice outside view. Based on your area and food habits, you will have access to the mess. The food quality is awesome. You can choose between a North Indian and a South Indian mess. Also between vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Everyone coming to IISc will get a hostel. You will do registration at the time you come to the institute; it's a very easy process.
: I am not qualified to assess the best faculty and scientists in this country. This statement is sufficient, I think, to describe them. Well-experienced people with a passion for what they are doing. They are available all the time for discussion and for the benefit of students.
I do not have statistics about this. As per what I observed, I have seen ME students getting offers ranging from 12 to 24 lacs per annum. Being Ph.D. students from IISc, we generally do not look at campus placements. We look for postdoctoral fellowships abroad to get trained in arena, come back and try to give back to the nation what we can.
You will got the stipend as per phd student
The infrastructure of the campus is well-built labs equipped with the latest technology, libraries with massive up-to-date collections, big classrooms equipped with projectors, a well-built auditorium and a sports complex. The hostel facilities provided by the campus are top-notch. The hostels have been divided into blocks, with UG students being assigned E block, U block and S block. The rooms are well-equipped with beds, fans, cupboards, and light. The rooms in E block are twin-sharing, while single occupancy rooms are available in U & S block. Room allotment is random. The hostels are assigned on the first day of coming to campus and are very cheap at 5000 per month.
Most of the faculty are reachable and hill. They put more stress on learning the subject than getting good grades. Most of the faculty members are from reputed universities across the world. The subject is taught by experts in the respective fields in the country. Some courses are too easy for us with basic and memory-based questions in the exams which can be improved. The frequency of the exams depends on the course instructor but typically we have an exam every two weeks for every subject on average.
The campus has a well-functioning placement cell that assists students. Students are eligible to sit for placements in the last semesters, given that they have completed the required number of credits. However, a unique point about the institute is that since this is a research-oriented institute, most students prefer to go for higher studies. Last year's data shows that only 6 students sat for placements, out of which 5 were placed with an average package of 15 LPA. The remaining vast majority of students went down two ways: either continuing to do their Masters at IISc itself or going for PhD in their field. Out of 100 students, 60 students were accepted into prestigious international universities in the USA, Europe and Australia to continue their studies with a PhD and contribute to scientific research. The universities that accepted undergraduates from IISc range from the University of Michigan to Oxford University to Caltech to the University of Los Angeles and many more.
Nirf ranking is 1 from last Ten year so you know how much good the college is.
The facilities and infrastructure like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are nice with all facilities. Our labs are better compared to others. The library is also good with all books. The hostel facilities are good; the mess food is not good, and the canteen food is good. The medical facilities are also available.
Faculty members were cooperative. The teaching quality was great so that we could understand every topic easily. I would like to thank faculty members for their support. They always clarify our doubts. The course curriculum was relevant. They also help us to gain in-depth knowledge.

Superb college.
The facilities and infrastructure are good. The labs are well-equipped. The hostels are quite decent, and more food is not given in the hostel. Mess food is good, but canteen food has an amazing taste. The rooms are clean. The mess is clean and served in a hygienic way. The campus has Wi-Fi facilities, the labs are well updated, the classrooms are always clean, and the library is too big with all books; we should have an ID card to blend it.
The teachers are helpful, and they are well qualified. Their teaching quality is okay, but I am not personally satisfied with all the teachers because of the language problem. The native language they use, while for improvement. The course is relevant. The students are industry-ready. The passing percentage is 85%.
The placement is what is the college focused on for placement companies like Amazon, Cisco, Mahindra, and others offering an average package of 15 Lacs per annum. For internships, the highest package offered was for around 75000, and also companies do give PPO
Very good college.
The college was nice I am doing they provide to much facilities for an research and the library is also big and provide proper sports facilities and good wifi connection are being there for library and classrooms.
The teachers are very much helpful and good in nature. Most of the teachers are having Ph.D. Yes our Curriculum was updated regularly and they provide the skill development training which makes us job ready.
Yes the placement was nice and beautiful most of the student were placed at good place. The highest package gone 18 LPA from our department. The average package is like the 5 to 6 LPA. The college was helpful and placement cell was also having good contact.
Yes the college is value for money.
Campus life was really good.
Nothing
The campus Infrastructure is old but very beautiful and well maintained as well. We have a gymkhana that has all the necessary equipment. Billiards, tennis, badminton, aerobics, kung fu, etc. Available here. We have a football, cricket and basketball team for participation in many sports meet. There is a nice swimming pool here. I opted for hostel, my hostel was e block. This hostel contained dual B.Ed rooms. After 2nd year we got one bedroom. The rooms were very good, having cupboards and tables. The fees for hostel is 1000 per month.
Our faculty members are excellent and highly experienced. A minimum CGPA of 9 is considered a good score. Some of them have published their research papers and theses. They are renowned worldwide. It is important to attend their classes diligently.
Almost 80% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered varies between 15 LPA - 19 LPA. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 8 LPA - 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies visited our college for recruitments.
Meet with some amazing people.
IISc college infrastructure where every building has a story to tell. The classes are air-conditioned. They also have a room where the students can relax and enjoy and engage in fun indoor games. There are times when the wifi doesn't work but the college take instant actions to fix it.
IISc teachers are very supportive and a healthy competition exists among the students as a result of which they try their best to excel in academics. place where we get to interact with students from not just all over India but even from other countries which increases our exposure and hence our knowledge.
IISc placement is quite good in my point of view few students got highest package of 12 LPA, average of 4 LPA and lowest of 3.6LPA. Approx 40 percent student were placed this year which is nice. Yes placement cell is also help during placement.
Yes it's value for money.
Life In campus was beautiful.
