It is really difficult to decide which college will be better for one particular course. Every college has their own ways of teaching and all of them are good in their own way. It completely depends on you to choose a college for yourself. You should decide on the basis of,

  • course you are interested in, whether the particular college has the course you want or not
  • Ranking of the colleges
  • Location of the colleges, should be convenient for you

Between MS Ramaiah and PES, MSRIT has good rankings and its on 67th Rank.

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to predict your exact figure of rank because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 51150 - 57500 .

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that you very less chances of getting any of the branch in NIT Surathakal even after considering home state quota because last year the closing CRL rank was around 40k

Hello Aspirant,

See Home state quota is the reserved quota for Home state candidates in that institutions. In NITs there is 50% of total seats are reserved under Home state quota, which means that only Karnataka domicile candidates are eligible for that seat.

So during counselling Karnataka domicile candidates will be preferred over other state candidates for those 50% seats.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hey aspirant, NIT surathkal is one of the best college among NIT. College provide good academics . When it comes to placement, government sectors are more than privet sectors. so you need to be one among the top in class with a good technical knowledge in subject to get campus placement for the core subjects. Usually placement for core subject is very less.  Many people get placement for other sectors like IT. You can apply off campus for government sectors. You have also an option to took phd and to do research. Amazone, adobe, mynthra, flipcart, hotstar ,wiipro are some of the companies come for placement.

Hello aspirant,

As cut-offs changes from year to year, it is difficult to predict exactly.

***Based on previous year's cut-offs you  have less chances of getting seat in below mentioned Colleges for your GATE rank.

>>>Indian Institute of Technology, Indore - M.Tech VLSI Design and Nanoelectronics

>>>National Institute of Technology, Surathkal - M.Tech VLSI Design

But cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors like number of seats available, difficulty level of the exam, caste category, number of students appeared in the exam, etc.

The course is divided into six trimesters , with three trimesters in each year . The evaluation is based on two components : 50 marks for internal components comprising assignments and presentations , and 50 marks for the end of the semester exam .

Overall experience is good.

College Infrastructure

The EEE department is located on the western side of the campus which is on the other side of NH 66. We have a 24*7 WiFi facility. But the Wi-Fi in the hostels is a bit lower in speed. There are two libraries including a central library and a digital library which are quite good. There is a canteen inside the campus named the food court. There is also a health care facility next to the ground.

An institution of infinite opportunities!

College Infrastructure

You can't expect much more than what it is. The hostels are okay shape, classrooms and are big enough and have sufficient ventilation. College Library is a pretty conducive place for studies and other professional work. Don't expect lightning WiFi everywhere on campus. Same for Mobil Data coverage. LAN cables become your lifelines then. Oh and mess food, well it's sub-par but if you can manage with what they have it's just fine. You'll get by so don't worry too much.. Moreover, they have decent facilities for sports, music and other recreational activities so no complaints there though. But what it does lack is ACs in most places (apart from Library and a few labs) given Mangaluru's humid weather in recent years. Also, our swimming pool has been closed for at least the past 2 years if not more, so that needs to change real soon.
