Yes every NIT as well as NIT Patna offers internships in 3rd year and 4th year of btech while studying. Top recruiters like Wipro, Adani Power Limited, Infosys have continuously visite the college . About 30 percent of eligible students get internship. SDOs and JEs in BSEB are even offered to many of the students.

Archana Bharti , From some research on internet I found that NIT Patna for ECE is good because both colleges fees is approx. same and placement is also good here with 6 lakh per annum of average package and infrastructure is also good here so go for NIT Patna ECE.

The placements offered by NIT Patna is quite good. The median salary package for B.E./B.tech was offered as 6 LPA while for B.Arch, the median salary package was 5.5 LPA. Placements also depends upon the student's performance in interview. In NIT Patna, it is conducted in two tiers. Unfortunately you have to choose between the two. Either you forfeit your seat at ECE NIT Patna and sit for CSAB, as per CSAB Rules and Regulations you cannot keep any seat at hold in JOSAA. Perhaps,  I believe you should now freeze NIT Patna, it is an excellent and old technical institute with good placements as far as ECE is concerned and good faculty. Comapnies like Amazon, Qualcomm, Reliance Jio, Microsoft, Tata Communications, Samsung are regular recruiters at ECE NIT Patna and you can always study in first year and opt for a branch change to CSE. Besides this ECE is a very structured branch, and you can always learn new skills and master new technologies involving Machine Learning and Software.

Last year the cutoff was 1207 for home state quota in Architecture in NIT Patna. This year you can expect more or less same rank. So, yes you have chance to get into NIT Patna B. Arch.

According to your specifications there is really a great possibility for you to get a seat at NIT patna. Now if the number of vacancy left gets filled in 3rd counselling round then there can be a problem but you have a possibility of getting it.

I would also like you to suggest that you should prepare a alternative plan to be safe. So according to your rank , you should prepare a side plan so that if by chance NIT Patna is gone then you will have another way to reach your destination i.e., Mechanical Engineering.

If you have no monetary issues, I believe BITS Goa has better infrastructure, faculty, research facilities as well as employer outlook when compared with NIT Patna. As far as Circuital branches are concerned BITS Goa is knots ahead of NIT Patna in both placements and academics . Whereas somewhat NIT Patna, being located near industrial hubs of Eastern India is at par BITS Goa when Core branches of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering are compared. Hope that helps.

I believe NIT Patna will be a better choice than NIT Silchar as far as Mechanical Engineering is concerned. Located near Industrial Hubs at Jharkhand, UP and Odisha further provides impetus to training and placement opportunities. Companies like Tata Motors, TVS, Tata Hitachi, Cummins Pune, L&T, IOCL, Vedanta are regular recruiters at NIT Patna Mechanical and the branch experiences almost 80% placements each year.

Secondly being one of the older technical institutes with a strong alumini base, good infrastructure and laboratory facilities, excellent Faculties as well as outlook, it provides good Engineering Education.
