Since you have got 82.98 percentile your category rank will be somewhere above 1.5 lakhs and since you have ews category , your category rank will be somewhere between 27,000-28000. From the previous year cut offs of NIT silchar chances of your admission there are a bit low , but since you belong to the home state category you should definitely try for admission . I would recommend you to participate in the counselling till the last rounds , since you might get a seat their in the last rounds of counselling.

hi,
see as per previous years cutoff analysis of reputed institute like nits, at this score you have no chances for admission in any of the nits even for your category.
cutoff score varies with number of applicant, students category, choice of stream, difficulty level of jee main papers like determining factors.
so if you will participate in jee main 4th session exam try to bring score around 90+ this time.

Good Luck!!
The hostel experience was nice, with timely breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, the mobile network was very poor in the hostel room and sometimes lan did not work properly. classrooms are in pretty good condition in new gallery classroom. for civil laboratories, the equipment was not maintain properly.
We have proper Wi-Fi, labs are up to the mark and need improvement. Classroom are good and have proper functional A. C. We have regular labs going on. Library is quite good and books are there too. Quality of food has been improved. There are no medical facilities available in hostel you need to visit to the outer medical stores or hospital. There are not enough grounds for sports.
My college is having a very beautiful campus, it just looks very amazing. The hostel facilities when I was in the college were ok. Else the wifi is all over in the campus. Also their are labs in almost all the sems for electrical branch students.
