Hello!

Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir students, is available with certain conditions and guidelines. One of the rule is, this scholarship can only be prevailed if student wants to seek admission in college outside J&K, anywhere in India. So, NIT Srinagar is situated in J&K, therefore, you cannot prevail this scholarship in the concerned institution.

For more details about this scholarship, please refer

https://www.aicte-india.org/bureaus/jk/2018-2019

Hello,

According to your percentile your rank would fall somewhere between 296670-333500. With this rank you can't secure a seat in NIT Srinagar or in amy of the NITs or GFTIs. But you can appear for May session to improve your ranking, since last date to fill form of April Session has been passed already. If you have already fill up the form of April session too then you can start preparing to get good percentile as exam dates have been postponed. Or you can go for other Engineering Entrance Exams like BITSAT, SRM JEE, VITEEE.

Hi

I am considering you from general category as you have not mentioned your category

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in nit as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for general category  to get IT branch , 147055  was closing rank for females under home  state quota in nit srinagar

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

And  147055 rank is roughly around 55 marks ,for this rank vs marks you can refer to our page, the link for the same is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

But yes cutoff keep changing every year, so to be on the safer side target at least around 70 marks  in your jee main 2021

Now, limited time is left for jee mains 2021 , so focus on your preparation, to prepare well for your jee examination, go through chapters first and your focus should be on grasping concepts , practising questions and then revising them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

If you have any other doubt then you can always reach us to clear them :) we are always available to help you out and guide you

Thankyou

In NIT Srinagar there are seven hostels for boys and two hostels for girls. These are enough to accommodate both master's and bachelors  students.hostels are swapped after completion of every even semester. Hostel infrastructure is like every government college whether it is IITs or NITs .

Non local students cannot stay in PG outside college. Local students can stay in PG on parents consent.

The food quality in college and mess is average.

The charges for breakfast are 20 RS , for lunch RS 30 and RS 10 for evening tea and snacks.

Hostel Fees is around 2000.

Overall a nice experience

Facilities are okay, with classrooms that are functional and equipped with WiFi and smartboards. Laboratories meet basic needs. The library is large but lacks some newer resources. Sports facilities are acceptable, though not always fully utilized. Hostels need better cleanliness, and food needs improvement.
