Hello,

The first factor to take into account while choosing a branch is "Interest".

Pick EE if you have an interest in electrical. Choose mechanical if you are interested in mechanics, thermodynamics, automobiles, or aircraft.

EE will always outperform mechanical in terms of placement.

At NIT Rourkela, mechanical is a famous department. SVNIT Rourkela In NIT, EE is superior to Mechanical. Rourkela.
SVNIT EE is better than Mechanical in NIT Rourkela.

Thank You

Hello,

In the civil department of SVNIT, the teacher is excellent and tough. All of the professors have a PHD in their area of expertise. However, the placement rates are rather lower than those for computers in NIRMA. However, the SVNIT computer departments have a very strong track record of placement, and many top businesses, like Airtel, Microsoft, Accenture, etc., visit for interviews. But CSE at NIRMA is a better option than Civil in SVNIT.

Yes, I can say NIT tag matters a lot. If you wish to enroll in an MS programme or any other course,it matters a lot. But as per your choice of branches in this two colleges, NIRMA is best for cse placement rathar than Civil Engineering in SVNIT.

Thank You

Hello Student,

First come to the SVINIT (Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology) EE-> The pros and cons of the EE in college are as follows-:

  1. Labs are good though not best.
  2. Placements are good. If you are above average scorer than you are almost likely to be placed. Although placement is very much dependent on personality and technical knowledge. Only marks are not enough. But for getting an idea you can think this figure - Placement record if more than 80% average. Means every year more than 80 out of 100 people get placed.
  3. The curriculum is not updated as per international standards. The books and technical knowledge imparted is conventional.

Now, come to Nirma CSE-: Nirma University is one of the premier engineering institutes of India.

  1. Going by the placement record, almost all of the eligible students from the CSE department get placed into MNC's like Morgan Stanley, Oracle and various other prestigious companies like Snapdeal, FactSet, MuSigma, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Searce,Infibeam etc.
  2. The highest package goes to close to 14 lakhs per annum which is considered to be incredibly high considering just a graduate degree.

Now come to LNMIIT for cse-:

  1. The LNMIIT is much better than many NIT’s for pursuing Computer Science. The CSE faculty is exceptionally well in teaching and are friendly.
  2. The placement record for session 2016–17 for CSE is also commendable. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Kayako, DirectI etc. visited campus for on campus placement in session 2016–17. http://placements.lnmiit.ac.in/esperra/esperra19.pdf

Any choice that you make between these great colleges will be purely a trade-off between a branch and a good location and college. If we consider the order on the basis of the quality of the college, then the preference order will be:

BITS Goa/Hyd
NIT Rourkela
SVNIT
VIT Vellore
IIIT Guwahati

This order will be the most accepted as even though you won't get CS in BITS, however the exposure they provide in various fields like Finance, Economics is unparalleled.
