Studying B. Tech Marine Engineering. Quality of the teaching is very good. Faculty members are very good. To the point and all are knowledgebale. They always try to put the practical format and the best they can give.

the course fees is high but the lowest among the all other colleges. Its government college so that facilities are always available and best as per its ground. The collge fees is justified for it being the industry being high maintanence.

Yeah college infrastructure is good. It provides everything we need in life. All necessary laboratories, libraries sports centres and hostels are there for to use. The living space are cleaned and maintained by cleaners.

B.Tech in Marine Engineering. The quality of teaching is very good also. They teach all the required things needed for the course. Curriculum is up to date no doubt. Yeah the course is according to the job.

Placement is good enough. Probably the best. All most all the cadets are placed by the end of the course. Placements are also done in good companies and probably the best companies available in the industry.

It costs total 900000 for our batch and for the next it is increasing I guess. But still its good according to the infastructure and placement provided. After placement all the money is worth it as the industry is high paying.

Campus life is not bad. Nothing much do in the campus. Its the hostel life that is enjoyable. Best feature is will be the workshop which is the training area of cadets. And worst feature should be the wifi.

For only 1 course the infrastructure is good. Enough facilities available. workshop is the largest and enough for a cadet for practical experience. Academically its good too. Enough extracarricular activities are also available.

I am studying B.Tech Marine Engineering. Quality teaching is good enough. And curriculum is set by DG Shipping. So talking about that makes no sense for college. Whatever is already set that is well trained.

Well it is the best for all the merchant navy college available in India. Maybe TMI maybe comparable. But it is government one not private. Fees are half. No doubt in that comparison its the best among all. All most 90% placements are done by 4th Year.

Well being a government college also fees structure is high. Not comparing to private ones. They are like double than this. But still it should have been lower. But it is the lowest amongst the avialble ones. But no doubt the course is expensive itself.

The campus is not that big. The campus consist of only 1 department. So yeah there is nothing much to see. But it is sufficient and enough for a cadet's life. From Gym to swimming pool Library it has got everything.

It has a campus with six different well maintained hostels, two academic buildings, workshop, electrical, mechanical and material testing lab. There's a large ground where cadets train in cricket, football and hockey based on their choice. It has a swimming pool, volleyball, basketball, badminton court, TT tables and coaches for each games. the rooms are to be cleaned by the cadets and often seniors and officers check them. Food is average in taste but very nutritious.

The college's main degree is BTech. Marine Engineering. Getting this degree helps the cadets to work on commercial ships while while they sail across the world. the job of a Marine Engineer is to maintain the ship's machinery, from main engines to a refrigerator on board. The college has only officers to teach the core subjects, most of them who had studied this college themselves and achieved wonders. The curriculum is sufficient to make a good marine engineer, along with the training.

No doubt the placements have gone comparatively low in recent years due to recession. but still our college manages to place every cadet who doesn't have any supplementary papers due. the salary packages ranges from $600 to $1000 based on your practical knowledge and company. The placement interviews are held such that it tests the cadets in their worst situation, because job isn't easy at sea. But with the help of Officers and professors, we are able to do it the best we can.

The fees currently charged to the cadets is 2.25 lakhs which in my view worth it. It is a government college and has every basic facilities that one needs. The college trains us in every way possible so that we don't face difficulties while we are at sea.

The College is located in Alipore in Old Kolkata. it has metro which connects us to the whole city in an affordable price. the campus life is fun, the traditions of college helps us to learn a lot of things in different and unique ways.

I would recommend this college to you all just if you are interested in this unique lifestyle, full of discipline and hardcore training. If you are looking just for money, don't go for this option, because the companies pay loads of money just because it is that difficult to survive on ships. If you have a fascination for sailing, go for it.

College offers a bachelor's degree program along with post graduate engineering. If we focus on infrastructure. IT is widely spread in 33 acres in which provided lots of different laboratory like _Mechanical lab, electronic lab,hydraulic lab,boiler lab,fire fighting lab,etc along with Olympic size swimming pool and playground of different sports. There are many hostel provided for boys and girls. College also provide a wide range of WiFi 24×7 in academic building along with hostels.

Faculty of institute quiet good. Maximum class strength can be 50 for a single teacher but in workshop point of view the ratio is 15:1. College also provides projector in each classroom. Assembly is full air conditioning.

Almost all the students are placed from this college who are all clear in their exams and going board ship in 7th semester. In starting the training marine engineer has 600 to 1000 dollars salary and after that when he become a fourth engineer he got about 2400 dollars (Also depends upon companies ) minimum package. The companies are MSC,NYK,Scorpio, Anglostern, etc.These are are world best companies.

College offers B.tech program the demand of Rs. 125000 for odd semester and Rs. 100000 for even semester ( Rs. 225000 per year )some additional charges at the time of admission.
