NPTI Durgapur Facilities

National Power Training Institute, Durgapur provides many facilities to the students. The NPTI Durgapur facilities include hostels, library, classroom, conference hall, and many more. The college offers many B.Tech Power Engineering labs like Basic Electrical Lab, Engineering Physics Lab, Electrical Protection Lab, Heat Power lab and many more. The NPTI Durgapur has a recreation hall with a seating capacity of 100 people, for organising cultural activities. The Open Learning Centre (OLC) is a facility offered by NPTI Durgapur that enables trainees and trainers to complete multimedia CBT packages at their own pace and discretion without assistance from subject experts. Boys Hostel
A total of 400 trainees can stay in hostels at NPTI (ER). Anyone interested in using the hostel amenities must notify management in advance to receive approval. A participant must make his own travel arrangements to the institute if he chooses not to stay in the hostel.
Girls Hostel
The college offers separate hostels for girls. Trainees at the hostel have access to recreation and indoor sports facilities, including table tennis, badminton, carom, chess, and others, which creates a friendly environment similar to that of a home away from home.
Library
The NPTI Durgapur has an extensive library of engineering, scientific, and technology books that supports the institute's teaching and learning initiatives. Upon acquiring a library membership, all institute staff, faculty, and students are permitted to use the facilities. Many Indian and foreign technical publications and periodicals are available through the NPTI (ER) Library's subscriptions.
I.T Infrastructure
The computer lab has 40 computers with the facilities of LAN and Internet connectivity to conduct various training programmes including the use of Hindi software.
Classrooms
There are a total of 14 classes that are well equipped with AC, LCD projection system, OHP and many more to improve theoretical and technical knowledge.
Laboratories
The college has department-based laboratories for the students. The different NPTI Durgapur laboratories include Computer labs, a Control & Instrumentation Lab, Certificate of Competency in Power Distribution labs and B.Tech Power Engineering labs. The NPTI Durgapur also has a guest house that is open for lodging, with a daily fee of 400 rupees per room required of guests.
Workshops
The laboratories and Workshops are the prerequisites for providing off-job, hands-on training in the maintenance aspects. The NPTI (ER) has built well equipped laboratories and workshops with wide ranging facilities for imparting training to Technicians, Operators and Engineers, in various aspects of Power Stations.
