Yes, you can do that. If you did not get the seat of your choice, you can surrender that and appear in second round of allotment for better seats.

While coming to placements 780 students of GIET are placed into companies in the years 2013-2017  where as in iiit members 180 are placed in the year 2017

While coming to fee details it varries from one branch to other.
