UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Hello,
As you have mentioned a quite good number of IIIT and NIT colleges so it is clear that you have made your mind set for the national level colleges ie, NIT and IIIT but from all the above colleges you can go for NIT Agartala because it is comparatively older than other IIIT and NIT mentioned and has a great academic records and also the cutoffs are quite high for this particular college hence, you can accordingly think and start preparing for the exams through which you are looking for this colleges.
Thank you..
You have got AIR 48,718 with 94.54 percentile that's not that bad score to be honest that is good score.
Now talking about your college which will you get. You won't be getting CS in IIIT bhagalpur, IIIT Una as their cutoff is higher then your rank IIIT Bhagalpur closing rank was 25963 for open catagory whereas closing rank for IIIT Una was 23500.
In my opinion you can go for NIT uttrakhand if get allotted we should go with that as it's cutoff is near to your rank.
Talking about Dirubhai Ambani institute of information and communication technology it is private self-financed university so if you can afford it's fees which 86,000/annum + 22,000/annum hostel fees it will be good option but you should go for this college after you are unable to get in the above mentioned college.
Most important is if you are getting any other branches also should go for it in IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT una and NIT uttrakhand as you can change it after 2nd sem in most of institute and after 1st sem in some institute.
Hello aspirant
hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query, I would glad inform you that in placement prospect both the colleges have almost same placement statistics and have good alumni network due to which many product based companies come every year but if you want to have exposure, college life , good infrastructure and coding culure then IIIT bhopal will be a better option for you
Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future
Dear aspirant,
If you would take return on investment factor then absolutely bit sindri will be a better investment because on investing 2.5L you would atleast get a package of 4-5L per annum. You can even get more.
On the other hand, iiit una and iiit bhopal are newer iiits as compared to the other iiits like nagpur. And iiit nagpur has better outreach and placements as compared to the other iiits .
So, I would recommend you to go as per your conditions as it is you who has to select a college between these two.
Hi,
Institute provides Scholarships of INR 50,000 each to top 18 students every year selected from Dean's Merit List to encourage academic excellence. For the year 2018-19, following 18 students were awarded with Institute Merit scholarship.
There is no permanent campus yet, but it is said to be completed by August 2021. Now it is s running on a temporary campus in UNA for the 1st year.
The rate of scholarship would be INR 1000/- p.m. at Graduation level for first three years of College and University courses and INR 2000/- per month at Post-Graduation level. Students pursuing professional courses would get Rs. 2000/- per month in the 4th and 5th year.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
Hi,
The overall fee of the institute is approx 1200000 And if you want what is the fee structure of the institute then you can search it on this link (iiitu.in) .
Yes for sc/st students there is nsp for scholarships and for other students they also suggest what they have to do for a different type of scholarship. If you want to search about job or package and loan system you should visit the site of our institute also.
Hope this helps,
Good luck.
Hello Ashruth,
With your rank and category the chances of getting into above mentioned colleges is quite low. If you get any of the above colleges that you mentioned I would suggest you to go for IIITs, alternatively the colleges you can get with your rank are:
To know your other chances through JOSSA & State level Government & private colleges, You can use the JEE Main College Predictor tool given below : https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp
Hello Aspirant,
Unfortunately on such OBC rank you cannot get any of the IIITs/GFTIs with any of the branches because closing OBC ranks of last year were like :-
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kancheepuram - Smart Manufacturing (16111)
Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Una, Himachal Pradesh - Electronics and Communication Engineering (15738)
Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacture Jabalpur - Smart Manufacturing (16100)
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
So on such OBC rank you have no chance to get any of the IIITs even with non-core branches , so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for autonomous government colleges or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-
https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 cut-off and know whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, so it is given below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck for your future!!
Hello Aspirant,
Before coming to the detailed review of IIIT Una I would like to make you clear that in IIITs there is no Home State quota and the seat allotment is done only on the basis of your All India Rank, therefore you were unable to find out the home state quota for it. Now if we go through the reviews of the students currently studying their, then being the new IIIT, it has not it's permanent campus yet and the classes are being conducted at NIT Hamirpur, so if NIT Hamirpur is considerable for you then it would be the good choice. Now coming to the placement scenario, so it was established in 2014 itself according to which the first batch of IIIT Una has passed in 2019 and the placement records were neither too good nor too bad, we can say it as average, however all the students got placed, some through On-campus placement and some through off campus, obviously package was not that much high as provided in older IIITs like IIIT Allahabad, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior and so on. Also there are Libraries, separate hostel for Boys and Girls, Mess and so on.
You can get complete details about IIIT Una from the link given below :-
https://www.careers360.com/university/indian-institute-of-information-technology-una
Now I hope you can conclude about the IIIT Una and for your reference I am enlisting down some other CSE colleges in Himachal Pradesh :-
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
IIIT Una is present in the elite list of IIIT's, which have their own permanent campus, which is located in Saloh, Una. The entire campus is equipped with wifi access. There are two blocks: admin block and academic block. Classes are conducted in academic block. All the classroom labs are equipped well with the state of the art equipments. The campus provides all sports facilities which includes athletics track, football ground, cricket ground, volleyball, table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball and badminton courts, along with indoor table tennis, chess, carrom facilities. At IIIT Una , classroom and labs are pretty good. Its a nice place to study with modern facilities. The campus has some cool spots to hangout. Overall it's a decent college environment there. some more infra is building also.
IIIT UNA has not permanent campus. It runs in Nit campus Hamirpur Himachal pradesh (which is transit campus-1). The students of graduation year from 2019-2023 study in transit campus-2 (which is in Una).
