It is an institution of national importance and it is youngest of all IIITs .

Placements- As 2017 is the first year of placements for students of IIIT-Una who joined in 2014, the placements drive was held by NIT-Hamirpur. So, the students of CSE have got a full opportunity to sit in on-campus placements, and the placement statistics of our college are similar to NIT-Hamirpur. Almost 94% of the CSE batch students of IIIT-Una are already placed.

Coming to infrastructure and faculty

The faculty members are brilliant, and they have good helping nature. The campus is big and covered with greenery. Lots of fests

The pros of iiit una is that it is an government college and have an iit tag while the cons of this college is that it is not very popular.It is one of the most ignored iit's.As it is recently made.It is established in 2014.The first batch from iit una passed out un 2018 and the placement was quite good.

80 percent student get placed .Highest package offered was 12 lakh per annum to cse girls.and the average package was 6 lakh per annum 

And at that time there is only two courses cse and ece.Recently it branch is also added.so there is no much idea about IT branch.for it branch the placement has 3 ranking out of 5.But the study in this college is good as the faculty of nit hamirpur and iiit una are same.also the campus is same.

I would like to inform you that with a ranking of 50k plus, chances are fifity - fifty that you might get one of the above mentioned colleges in the spot round of jee. If you are looking for the top four or five branches then chances are less , but you can get mining or some lower branches in spot round.

Which categories you belongs to?

It is very difficult to get selected in these college but after that also try in counselling

I'll suggest you to go for CSE in NIT Manipur rather than pursuing CSE from IIIT Una. As being an NIT, NIT Manipur holds a premium position in our Indian Society and also has well experienced faculty with good infrastructure. 

In my opinion you should go for NIT Manipur.

You will have two choices. → Either accept the seat you are getting in special round 1 or decline the seat and go with the seat you got in round 7th.

All the fees are adjustable in your institute fees or is refundable and none of your money would be lost until this round.

• If you opt to sit for further rounds i.e. special round 2 you have to leave your seat of the 7th round and your money will not be refunded too and in case you don’t accept your seat allocated to you in special round 2 your money won’t be refunded back.
• If a seat is allotted, the candidate can Surrender the allotted seat by choosing the option “Surrender and NOT Participating in Next Round”. In such case, the Participation Fee (and Seat Acceptance Fee, if paid) will be refunded after deducting Rs 5000.
• If no seat is allotted and the candidate wants to EXIT from the counselling, he/she can RESTRICT all his/her choices, so that (s)he cannot be allotted a seat in next round. In such case, the Participation Fee (and Seat Acceptance Fee, if paid) will be refunded after deducting Rs 1500.

Indian Institute of information technology Una (Saloh), popularly known as IIITU, was established in the year 2015 by the Central government of India and MHRD under the Public Private Partnership Act. MHRD, Govt. of India, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, HP Transmission Corporation Limited, HP Power Corporation limited act as partners to the institute.NIT Hamirpur has been given the responsibility to mentor IIITU. Presently, IIITU is operating from the NIT Hamirpur campus until its new campus is fully set up in Una.

Unfortunately it is difficult for you to make through IITU as its previous year cutoff was around  22000 and according to your percentile it will difficult to make through it in first round.

As per the closing rank of last year, IIIT UNA (IT DEPARTMENT) closed at around 35-36k GEN Rank.

On the other hand the closing rank for OBC category was exactly 14,589 after round 7 of counseling.

So you are on the boundary line but might end up getting it. Keep your fingers crossed.
