In IIIT D, under Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), there is a basic level of programming and coding knowledge but not much in detail. You can check the course structure of ECE in IIIT D in the link here . Incase you want to study coding in depth then you can prefer branches like CS/ IT. They have a proper coding and language course syllabus.

IIIT Delhi takes admission through JEE Main and counselling will be held through JAC Delhi.

To be eligible for IIIT Delhi you must have secured minimum 80% aggregate marks of best of five subjects (including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) in the qualifying examination and 80% or more marks in Mathematics (separately) are also required.

JAC is a counselling procedure conducted for admissions to B.Tech programmes across the participating institutes. Through JAC Delhi, admissions are offered to candidates in undergraduate engineering programmes at Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) {For female candidates only}, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT).

B.Tech/B.E. admissions at DTU, NSIT and IGDTUW is strictly offered based on candidates JEE Main.

IIIT Delhi offers B.Tech admissions on the basis of total marks secured by the candidate in JEE Main and bonus marks of the candidate (given to them for their achievements in areas like Olympiads, Culture, Chess, Programming Contest, Sports, Innovation, National Talent Search, etc

Eligibility Criteria

• You need to have obtained at least 80% aggregate marks of best of five subjects (including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) in the qualifying exam.

• They also need to have secured 80% or more marks in Mathematics separately.

• Minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years on or before October 1, 2018. Candidates are also given relaxation up to 1 year in minimum age by the competent authority. However, in such a case, the candidates have to apply for relaxation at the time of admission.

You have chances to get CSE branch in IIITD based on your rank. In DTU and NSIT you have less chances to get CSE branch but you can get other branches
