Both Chandigarh University and Lovely Professional University are good college. But for Agriculture i would say LPU is the better option. The primary reason being LPU is Indias first Private University to get ICAR Accreditation. And as we all know The Indian Council of Agricultural Research ( ICAR) is the apex body for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education.

LPU is one of the best emerging college with unbeatable placements records in almost every stream.The CS is one of the best branch out there assuring at about more than 97% placements with the highest package at about 42 lacs which is quite high.It goes almost same for other branches too.So you must get admitted to this college if you have a chance.

I will compare both colleges on some criteria and at the end, I will give my opinion on this situation.

College rankings: LPU is ranked 23rd by NIRF, on the other hand, NIRF didn't provide any rankings for SEA college.

Placement: No placement data is available for SEA college. The median salary for B.Tech graduates in LPU is Rs. 4.41 lacs.

Infrastructure and resources: LPU also edges in the criterion of resources with faculty of 2200 compared to 118 of SEA college. LPU also has almost every infrastructure facility.

Course fees: The course fee of SEA college is much less than LPU. The course fee of SEA college is Rs. 1.98 lacs compared to Rs. 7.68 lacs of LPU.

So, according to me, if you can afford the fees of LPU, you should go to LPU. It has much higher fees than SEA college but facilities are also good compared to SEA college.

As you want to know the scholarship in LPU after getting 95 percentile in JEE mains.

For LPU scholarship, you should have 90+ percentile for the 50% scholarship.

For Scholarship in B.tech CSE

JEE (Main) percentile more than 90 then there 40% Scholarship.

There are total 9 hostels in the Amritha Vishwa Vidhyapeetham Coimbatore Campus.2 for girls and 7 for boys.

Here are some of the rules for Amritha Coimbatore hostel:

The rooms,common areas and surrounding should be kept clean and hygienic.All students are expected to be in hostels before 10pm for boys and 8pm for girls .If anyone wants to go Library, laboratory beyond the specified timings, he/ she should get written permission from the resident wardens in the prescribed form.Every resident of a room is responsible for any damage to the property in the room during his/her occupancy of that room and will be required to fund the repair The use of immersion heater electric stove/heaters/electric iron/induction cooker are forbidden.Private cooking in the hostel/students room is strictly not allowed.The use of personal TV,VCr and dvd is prohibited.Consumption and distribution of tobacco,alcohol or narcotic drugs are strictly prohibited.Residents are required to park the cycles only on the space provided for them in an orderly manner.You can not use powered vehicle.Residents should be decently dressed when moving around in the hostels,dinning halls and surroundinga.Ragging is strictly banned.Parents/Guardians are allowed to visit their wards between 5pm to 6:30pm in working days and between 7am to 6:30 pm in holidays.Parents should visit the campus periodically and interact with classes advisor/hostel wardens.Non vegetarian food is not permitted anywhere inside the campus.Students entering the hostel after closure of gates should give the penalties.

GGSIPU Hostels are the best hostels.Each student gets personal room which maintains privacy,no sharing of rooms and warden is also good.Hostel Staff comes for cleaning and kitchen is also available if anyone wants to cook.Girls are not allowed to go outside the hostel after 9pm and boys are not allwed to go out after 11pm.Overall facilities is very good in GGSIPU.
