UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Hello,
It would be difficult to predict the cut off for CSAB 2021 round as the cut off depends on the total number of seats available after JoSAA round, total number of candidates participating in CSAB, difficulty level and other factors. So it is not possible to indicate the cut off prior to the counselling but here is the cut off in CSAB 2020 round 1 counselling for admission to Integrated Master of Science in Chemistry for NIT, Rourkela
Home state
Open state
All the ranks mentions are CRL ranks secured by the candidates belonging to the respective categories. The cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on total number of candidates applied, difficulty level of paper and number of seats available etc.
To check the cut off you can use the link provided

To know the colleges in which you may get seat you can use our JEE Main college predictor

Hi
Your profile suggests that your home state is Telangana so you will be eligible for other state quota in NIT Rourkela
With 96.25 percentile
your rank will be around 38362 - 43125 as per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you hold a little low chance to get a seat in NIT Rourkela for Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science) .
For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, closing rank for gender-neutral for general category was 36585 for Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science) for gender neutral general category for other state
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

Hi
I am assuming that you belong to general category and your profile suggests that you are from Odisha so you will be eligible for home state quota in NIT Rourkela
This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , 64056 was the closing rank for gender neutral for general category for home state in NIT Rourkela and it was for Life Science (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science)
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
And to get around 64056 rank, you need at least around 95 percentile as per our rank predictor at

YOu have not mentioned if you have any category reservation based upon which the cutoff varies. Considering that you belong to the General category, then in that case you will have to have a rank of 5000.
Please go through the below link for the previous years cutoff for the various category reservations:
Good Luck
Hello MOPURI NIKHITHA REDDY , From some research on internet I found that Yes it is better to take Civil in NIT Rourkela rather than CSE in JNTU Kakinada because NIT is better in all terms like placement, infrastructure and all. Only the problem is fees because NITs fees is about to double from the fees of JNTU Kakinada.
Hope it will be helpful for you :)
The laboratories were equipped with all necessary equipment. Each department and the library have open Wi-Fi access. The hostel provides spacious rooms that can accommodate two students. The mess facilities were somewhat manageable for students from other states. Additionally, we have access to free medical services here.
The infrastructure is very good. We have an indoor stadium, a football field, and a cricket field. Campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, classrooms have ACs and labs are also good and equipped with all instruments and machines. In hostels, the quality of food is good. Different types of food options are available for North Indians and South Indians. The college has a medical center with a doctor available 24 hours a day. Sports facilities are also available at college.
The infrastructure is one thing to be considered in this college. It has a Student Activity Center (SAC) where many clubs are present, and where you can join by your choice and improve your personality and knowledge. The college is also providing the facility of gym, swimming pool, Wi-Fi, and LAN.
