After the college has become a State University from an engineering college it has witnessed much progress in infrastructure and maintenance as well. Many buildings are being renewed. conditions of classrooms and laboratories are quite modern and the academic areas were well equipped with basic facilities like WiFi.
The faculties are good but the thing is that in most departments half of the positions is vacant . I am studying integrated Master of Science in mathematics and computing because it of force both maths and computer science. This course work is quite modern and quite new in comparison to age old engineering courses.
The college offers decent placements to the BTech degree holders. Master of Science people are open neglected when it comes to placements. The average salary stands between 6 to 8 lakhs per annum in most of the years. Highest package including both on and off campus can go as high as 50 lakhs per annum.
The total expenditure per year comes around 50000 including tuition fee and living cost in city of Bhubaneswar. One can easily fetch the money his/her parents have invested by getting placed in multinational companies, ofcourse by studying hard.
Campus life is decently good. Gender ratio is not that bad in comparison to other engineering colleges. The campus is connected to the city through all modes of transport. There are medical facilities available in both academic and hostel areas and hence it can handle emergencies.
First year non-cse and non-ece people don't get hostel accommodation inside campus
The college infrastructure is great as it comes under top 5 engineering colleges of entire odisha . The conditions of laboratories, wifi facilities are all well maintained. Also the college has a canteen for the students which serves hygienic meals .
Every faculty members is quite well experienced in teaching and have high good academic track record . The only worrying thing is that many faculty positions remain vacant most of the time in many departments. I am a student of Integrated Msc. And the college mostly focused on its Btech students .
Placement are good and one can get them easily by studying in his engineering life . Mostly Btech and MBA students grab the highest packages. The highest package goes as high from 30 to 40 lakhs per annum and the average remains around 7-8 lakhs per annum. Mostly Aditya Birla , Hindalco, TCS and Wipro recruit every year.
The course structure is good and Course tuition fee is around 50-69 thousand per semester. One can fetch its value after getting placed with good salary in a MNC. Nor the engineering fees can really put a middleclass family into crisis.
The campus life is average . Not many clubs are there . Many events do occur but in a small scale . There's no such thing called annual fest or cultural fest . But efforts are being made after Covid to start these things soon.
1st year Non-CSE and Non-ECE students don't get hostel accommodation inside the institute premises.
Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), formerly known as the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) Bhubaneswar, is a premier technical university in Odisha. This college encourages research, especially in fields like data science, materials science, artificial intelligence, and sustainable energy. Students and faculty frequently work together on initiatives that are supported by both public and private organizations.
In disciplines including engineering, architecture, computer science, management, and applied sciences, OUTR provides a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees. The university boasts seasoned professors with a solid academic background, some of them are actively engaged in noteworthy research projects. Teachers are friendly and helpful, which promotes a positive learning atmosphere.
Particularly for fields like computer science, information technology, and electronics, OUTR has a strong placement record. Good placements are also seen in core engineering specialties including mechanical, civil, and electrical.
Per year 50k and hostel charges are excluded.students get benefits and advantages and get scholarship that's why it worth the money.
With features like Wi-Fi, common areas, and mess facilities, our university offers separate dorms for boys and girls with a very comfortable area. Although some students believe that the food quality and upkeep may be improved, hostel living is generally comfortable.
Nothing
Yes, the required facilities, equipment and infrastructure is there in the college. The college campus is sufficiently large for the students it accommodate. The classrooms, labs, hostels, etc. are of good quality and well-maintained. The living spaces are also clean and the food is hygienic.
The course I studied there was B. Tech in Civil Engineering as I wanted to learn about construction and development of Infrastructure and civil structures. The quality of teaching is nice and the curriculum was updated which included all the recent developments. The teachers were very nice there. The course surely made me job-ready.
The quality of placements at my college is average. The highest package of around 40 lacs went to CS branch student at my time and the average salary offered there is around 8 lacs per annum. 60-70% students get placed there. The placement processes are praiseworthy and the college is very supportive.
The cost of my course was 30k per semester so it indeed was a value for money for me as I learnt a lot there.
The campus life is charming and hostel life is great in my college. I made good memories there.
Nice experience
Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi connection, laboratory, study room, classrooms and canteen facilities. The quality of food and mess and the canteen will make you feel at home. One of oldest colleges in Odisha.
The faculty members of our college are highly qualified from different IITs and are from well renowned universities. Faculty members are available as per convenience and are highly skilled with proper experience.
Top recruiting companies of our college are Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Vedanta, Ashok Leyland, Indian Navy, L&T, Asian Paints, Robert Bosch, TCS, Accenture, Mu Sigma, etc. The students here get placed in some renowned MNCs like Microsoft, Robert Bosch, General Electrics etc
The college has all the necessary infrastructures from hostels to labs, workshops, Canteen area, students activities rooms, library, reading rooms and spacious and well maintained classrooms. The college has also DG for continous power supply in the academic area.
The college ranks itself as the one of the most preferred institutions in odisha for it's course offerings and high placement ratios. Many reputed MNCs come for placements and the average package offered is high as compare to other colleges.
Though many of the pvt engineering colleges struggle in placements this govt college performs extremely good in terms of placements. Every year no of reputed MNCs come for placements increases and students get placed in various companies in good remunerations.
The is excellent in terms of value for money. Here you can get current industry level knowledge, knowledge rich faculties and good placements at a bare minimum investment. The ROI is very good for this college.
The campus life is very good in this college. It has all the sports facilities and various academic and non academic clubs and commeties which are responsible for organizing various events throughout the year.
Basic facilities like toilet and modern lab are not available in the college. In sports catagory only basketball and badminton court are present today everything else are ignored and I'll maintained. But new college auditorium and other infrastructure are in a progress stage which shows us a promising future. Good thing in our college is about its super fast wifi sometimes it goes upto 30mbps speed.
Very bad quality of teachers as good teacher tend to leave the college. It should include more practical site related studies other than bookish stuff. As a civil engineer I feel that there should be more industrial visit and site visit in our system.
The quality of placement are very good as this college is present at the core of the odisha so many good companies come over here. The highest package in our civil batch was for 12 lakhs per annum. Mine was 6.7 lakhs per annum.
The college is super value for money because it comes under the state government scheme so the fees are very good in comparison to the private universities. College hostels fees are also very low. For me average cost per year comes under 48000 rupees including all semester, hostel and food bills.
Very bad campus life because of the worst management and non supportive teacher. But some teachers make you feel like your family. Student here can engage in singing, dancing, literature, gaming and other club present in here.
Not great, but is enough. It has decent benches and chairs. But we are still using a black board. Campus is quite small, but we have enough cpass rooms. We don't have any auditorium or proper club houses though
I was pursuing my BTech in Mechanical engineering. Professors were quite good, but because they already knew that the students here are all good as they have cracked JEE, they didn't pay much attention.
Placement is quite good. Every student (if eligible) got placed in our batch. Though the average package of placement was 6LPA. Maximum were placed in 3.4-4 LPA jobs, in mass recruitment. Core company numbers that came for interview were less
Absolutely. Per semester, we were charged around 10-15k , which is very reasonable. In that cost the ROI is more than 100% which is really good. I think the quality of education can be developed a little more. Except that, everything is decent
There are a lot of clubs that students are part of. Campus life is a little tricky for hostel girls, as the entry time for hostel is 6 30. This becomes a problem when any competition is near and we need to practice for it. Except that all is good
The infrastructure of the college has been amazing after it became a university. New lab buildings and hostels are being made. Parking space for vehicles are also there. Hostels have been really good and spacious.
They could improve the quality of teachers since many professors are newly recruited and have less experience. You will get a mix of experienced and new professors so that could be an issue sometimes. But professors are always there for doubt solving.
The college gets the majority of the placements in IT sector and less core companies visit the campus. In civil engineering, L&T is the major recruiter. Along with that several civil engineering start ups also comes to recruit.
Since its a govt. college, you will have less expenditures and value for money is great.
Amazing campus life. Feels like a home with everyone there.
Good structures, Labs, well designed class rooms and library. Good greenery environment around college. Have a good canteen area Separate clubs for many activities like sports singing dancing. Good hostels for both girls and boys
Good teachers and lab assistants Well designed course that helping us Expect that there are many more activities clubs like automobile robotics cse . Regularly Exam are happening and class tests . .
Good amount of MNC are visiting each year. Mostly companies are from IT companies but core companies also coming in a good amount and students sent to regularly internships and tect fest are conducted in campus also

Hello,
Yes, St Ann's college of engineering and technology,Chirala is good for CSE.
Approximately 65% of students get placed. The proposed income ranges from 3.5 LPA, which is the lowest, to 7.5 LPA, which is the highest. The typical compensation package is 4 LPA. Mybop and Technovert are the main recruitment firms that come to hire students. 25 or so students received internships. Software engineers and other positions are available.
The laboratories are modernised and feature efficient ventilation systems. It gives our college LAN access around-the-clock. Good cuisine is given at the hostel and canteen. In comparison to other surrounding institutions, the mess provided by a hostel is good.
