See both the institutes are great in there own way. They have good infrastructure. The faculties are technically well oriented and they have good research experience as well. Now whenever you want to choose any of the college, in your case you have to go with the course itself. Now from the job point of view, EE will offer you a much better option compared to that of ME. Its very sad to say but its true that the ME graduates don't get enough scope in terms of jobs and if they get jobs those are either non-core jobs or they have to settle for low salary packages. Now from the placement perspectives NIT Agartala is better compared to that of NIT Srinagar. So if you are ok to go for non-core or non mechanical jobs even after your BTech ME then you can obviously go for it and it will offer you much a better scope.

Debating about NIT Srinagar and Amrita coimbatore , NIT Srinagar is far much better college than Amrita Coimbatore in terms of placements , company visited , infrastructure , campus , facilities and activities .

If you are getting mechanical branch in NIT Srinagar , then I think you should take a seat in that college only as compared to Amrita coimbatore Mechanical .

So the choice is in your hands .

It is quite difficult to tell only about a course. So I am giving you over all details. Mentioned below are the points of comparison between these two institutes:

National Institute of Technology Srinagar:

• It has been ranked 25th position for government Engineering by India today.
• It is a fully autonomous Institute
• The highest placement package was 22 lakh per annum
• Average placement package was 8 lakh per annum

IIPE Visakhapatnam

• Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy has not got any rankings.
• There are no more placement details. However one information is that the placement percentage is 70%.

By above points it can be said that National Institute of Technology is a better option.

Dear student, You may have the chances to get into IT if seats were available, I suggest you to try until the last round so that you may get what you are interested in.
Don’t be afraid of computer programming, NIT srinagar is well Known for its teaching they will help you in all aspects of learning computer and it’s languages. Both IT and CSE have equal importance. It does have a similar syllabus the only difference is an IT student implements the technology and CSE student focus on design and use of computers. But it may be difficult for you to get CSE you can try for CSE with specialisations and IT

With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that NIT srinagar is very top notch tier-1 college and has very good nirf ranking and it is myth that nit srinagar is not safe , I will say it is safe for students and it is surrounded by proper guards . The rate of investment is very good for nit srianagr as average package of college is around 10 lakhs and highest went upto 22 lakhs

Yes definitely you can produce it in the JOSAA counselling because the prescribed format of category certificate is similar to that of available on the official website of JOSAA and if it was accepted in the JEE-Main application form then it would be definitely accepted in JOSAA as well.

Also note that if you had uploaded an undertaking in the JEE-Man 2021 application form then you have to submit the original certificate of you reserved category now because in undertaking it was clearly written that you will submit your reserved category certificate at the time of admission and if you would not be able to do so then you will not be provided any reservation benefits of that category.

Hope you are doing well. The seat allotment of JOSAA is done after considering JEE Merit and choices filled by students. So in your case you have filled NIT Srinagar at 49 and IIIT Kota near 100th position. You can get IIIT Kota when you don't have enough rank to get colleges which are in above order than IIIT. Once filled , it is difficult to change preference list .
