Hey Hareesh, it is difficult to get a seat in SLIET Punjab in Computer science branch or Mechanical branch. You have a slight low chance to get admission in SLIET college of Punjab with General category. As the cutoff is high for this college. Best of luck

Hello Riya,

SLIET, being situated in Sangrur Punjab obviously has state reservation policies which leads to maximum students being of the state, that is, Punjabi students.

You might feel like this to be a problem in the beginning, however, punjabis are very open and fun-loving and they interact with everyone so I don't think you feel left out in any way. Also, there will be students of other castes from different parts as well.

If that is the college that you want to get in then I don't think the crowd should be a hindrance in any way. Everyone makes friends in college so do not worry about that.

Hope this helps.

As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get are:-

Thapar institute of Engineering and technology

YMCA college of engineering,Faridabad

SLIET Langowal

Hello,

You must score minimum 55% marks in 12th and qualify in the entrance exam by securing good marks for admission in BBA in best colleges. The cut off marks in entrance exam required for admission depends on the university offering the course.

Hello Madhu,
If you qualified NET exam then easily join any college of Delhi University.
Or you have professional work experience which is meaningful and can be appreciated at national/International level as equivalent to PhD and twelve years managerial experience in industry/profession of which at least eight years should be at least at a level comparable to that of Reader/Assistant Professor, you can still get a permanent faculty position.
Good luck.

365 marks in GAT eis lowest score at Sant Longowal Institute under General category for Food Engineering stream.

Cutoff for all streams as per trendsbelow.

College Infrastructure

The college maintains neat classrooms, modern labs, and a library that genuinely helps with projects. Also there is Wi-Fi facility across campus, and the overall atmosphere feels productive and comfortable

Excellent

College Infrastructure

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) boasts a sprawling 451-acre green campus with well-maintained academic blocks, smart classrooms, and fully equipped departmental labs. The central library is modern and offers rich digital resources. Hostel facilities are ample, with 10 for boys and 4 for girls, along with Wi-Fi, mess, and recreational areas. Sports infrastructure includes fields, courts, gym, and a swimming pool. The campus also houses a health centre, shopping complex, and student activity centre. While the campus is scenic and peaceful, its remote location and limited internet bandwidth are minor drawbacks. Overall, infrastructure is excellent and student-friendly.
