BCET Gurdaspur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

There are four boys hostels in  Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur. The four boys hostels have a total capacity of nearly 850 students, with single and three-seater rooms available. Each hostel is well-equipped with badminton courts and has its own mess and common rooms. In the boys’ hostel, there are several facilities such as adequate furniture and fixtures in every room, common room with TV set, telephone, guest room, facilities for indoor games, hostel mess works on cooperative mess system, internet facility is provided in the hostels through 6 Mbps leased line.

Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur has one girls’ hostel on the campus premises. Nearly 200 girls can stay in the girls’ hostel, which has 85 rooms (3-seater and single-seater rooms). The girls' hostel has a mess, a common room, and even a sports room with all of the necessary recreational facilities. It also has a volleyball and badminton court for students on the campus. There are many other facilities available in the girls' hostel, including adequate furniture and fixtures in each room, a common room with a TV, telephone, and guest room, facilities for indoor games, a cooperative mess system, and internet access via a 6 Mbps leased line.

A qualified doctor, Staff Nurse, pharmacist, and Medical Attendant work in the dispensary of BCET Gurdaspur to provide medical services. Both students and staff have access to the dispensary for medical treatment. The dispensary of  BCET Gurdaspur is well-equipped, with items such as an oxygen cylinder, a digital thermometer, a steriliser, an autoclave, a dressing drum, a weight measuring machine, a glucometer, a B.P. apparatus, a patient bed, a stretcher, and a screen, among other things. The reading halls have a floor area of 480 square metres and a seating capacity of 110 readers. The library operates on an open-access basis. It allows users to browse and pick up any document they want without any difficulty. BCET Gurdaspur has a large collection of books, textbooks, general books and reference books, journals/e-journals/e-books, career planning materials/CDs, bound back volumes journals, standards/manuals/thesis, CDs/DVDs, publishers catalogue/product catalogue, institute publications and faculty research papers, syllabi / old question papers, newsletters/newspapers etc.

Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur has a well-maintained infrastructure in sports. Various sports facilities include playgrounds for all the games. It also has a floodlight tennis court. Students can participate in various sports activities which include both outdoor and indoor games. On the campus, there are facilities for games like table tennis, chess, carrom, ludo, volleyball, football, basketball, hockey, badminton, handball, lawn tennis, kabaddi, cricket, kho-kho, athletics etc. In addition to the aforementioned amenities, BCET Gurdaspur provides all types of sports equipment to meet the needs of students.

The computer centre serves as a central hub for the institution's various departments and hostels. National Knowledge Network provides 1Gbps internet leased line connectivity (NKN). Cyberoam UTM is a firewall that protects the institute's network from outside threats. It's also used to keep track of internet bandwidth and users. The computer centre is connected to various departments, sections, hostels, and residential areas via campus-wide networking. Wifi is available in all the boys' and girls' hostels.

Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur has canteen facilities that provide high-quality, hygienic food to the faculty, other staff, and students. On the campus premises, there is a NESTLE Nescafe Stall for students.

BCET Gurdaspur facilities and infrastructure include an auditorium. Conferences, workshops, and seminars are held in the auditoriums on a regular basis. The auditoriums' purpose is to improve educational quality. The auditorium has LCD projectors, screens, and whiteboards. The auditorium is well-furnished, air-conditioned, and equipped with modern projection and audio systems, as well as internet access.

For applied science subjects, BCET Gurdaspur has well-established modern laboratories. Electronics and Electrical Engineering labs, Mechanical Engineering labs, Civil Engineering labs, and Workshops such as Machine shop, Carpentry shop, Foundry shop, welding shop, and Forging Shop provide students with hands-on experience in the engineering field.

BCET Gurdaspur established an SBI ATM adjacent to the campus to provide banking services to students and staff. The students have access to an ATM 24 hours a day, seven days a week to make banking easier. Students who live in hostels get more benefits.

The convenience stores there at BCET Gurdaspur are S.T.D P.C.O, courier and photocopier, stationery and general store, bakery shop, juice shop, Verka Milk Booth, shopping complex and  NESTLE Nescafe Stall. A mailbox is also there on the campus premises for students and faculty members.
