Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), Gangtok offers a wide range of infrastructural facilities for its students and staff members. Sikkim Manipal University campus facilities include hostel facilities, sports facilities, library, medical facilities, a canteen and many more.

Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok sports facilities include courts/fields for table tennis, squash and basketball. Apart from that there is a multi-purpose gym hall, yoga room, aerobics room and many more facilities. Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok banking facilities include banks and ATMs of Union Bank of India and Axis Bank. SMU Gangtok hostel facilities include twin sharing rooms with attached bathrooms and a night canteen. Other SMU Gangtok campus facilities are IT infrastructure, auditorium, Wi-Fi and laboratories.

Boys Hostel
Sikkim Manipal University has separate hostel facilities provided for students at both it's campuses i.e technical campus at Majitar and Medical campus at Tadong Sikkim. All the hostel's services provided have the best state of the art facilities to make the student comfortable far from their homes. All the hostels are under the supervision of their respective Chief wardens. The hostel provides a cot, mattress, study table, chair, book rack and wardrobe for each student. Every hostel has uninterrupted electricity, hot water facility during the winter period, water cooler with Aquaguard filters, recreation hall, gymnasium and indoor games facilities.
Girls Hostel

Medical/Hospital
The university provides medical facilities to the students and staff. Doctors, nurses and ambulances are available round the clock. The Medicare Scheme covers all students for treatment in the Super Speciality Hospital of the university.
Gym
SMU Gangtok facilities include a multi purpose gym which is equipped with all modern equipment and is available for use to all students.
Library
The university has a well-equipped library. Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok library facilities include online access to leading libraries of the country as the university is a part of Developing Library Network (DELNET) Consortium. It also houses an audio visual section and has internet connectivity.
Sports
Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok sports facilities include infrastructure for various kinds of sports like table tennis, basketball, badminton, tennis, etc. There is an indoor sports complex at Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok. Other sports facilities are swimming pool, bowling alley, yoga room, aerobics room, meditation room, etc.
I.T Infrastructure
The classrooms and seminar halls are equipped with ICT enabled facilities.
Cafeteria
The indoor sports complex also includes a food court which provides nutritious and healthy food to the students and staff.
Auditorium
The University has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.
Banks/ATMs
Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok provides banking facility. This includes bank and ATMs of Union Bank of India and Axis Bank.
Wifi
The entire campus and hostel is wifi enabled.
Laboratories
To strengthen the teaching-learning process the laboratories of all departments are equipped with the latest technology.

College Infrastructure

My college is best according to me , here we have lot of facilities and many playgrounds. Cleanliness across the campus is major step by our college. Here all the wings/blocks are constucted in a large space with so many classrooms in them. There are separate wings for every branch but we all live together there.It also have a large ground which is full of greenery and gives us a great enthusiasm and happiness.

My age 43.I had passed Bsc It From Smu distance wpith 70% marks.But my 12 th pass Mark's 40.1% may i elegeble for BA LlB from SURES SAR DUTTA law college.

You can get admission to the full-time, five-year BA LLB programme offered at the Sureswar Dutta Law College only if you meet the eligibility criteria. The minimum eligibility criteria to get admission to the BA LLB programme offered at the Sureswar Dutta Law College is Class 12 with a minimum of 45% marks in best four subjects, excluding compulsory environmental studies of WBCHSE (40% marks in best four subjects for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD (disability 40% or more) category candidates), excluding compulsory environmental studies of WBCHSE from a board recognised by the University of Calcutta.

Therefore, you cannot get admission to the programme if you belong to the general category. However, you are eligible to appear for the CULET-UG (Calcutta University Law Entrance Test) if you belong to the reserved category.

Hello,

fee structure for SOA is very high. if you can afford it then you can choose it. In terms of placement, it is best campus. You will get campus opportunity starting from Product companies like Microsoft to new startup companies who offer more than 5 lpa.

On the part of Manipal and sikkim , it should be your decision to choose college option. IT and CSE both are nearly same. what ever the difference is there you can cover them in free time.

When will the admission for BSc Biotechnology in the academic year 2022-23 in Sikkim Manipal University start?

Hi aspirant,

The admission into BSc biotechnology program at Sikkim Manipal University has not started yet and is expected to happen during June or July. Actually the admission is completely merit based upon the performance of candidate in higher senior secondary school examination and for most of the educational boards it has not been conducted yet.
