NIT Sikkim B.Tech Admission Process 2025

• Candidates need to register and appear for the JEE Main conducted by NTA.

• Those candidates who have qualified in the entrance score and ranked under the prescribed cut-off given by the institute must take part in JoSAA/CSAB counselling, and select NIT Sikkim.

• Selected candidates must accept offer letters in order to confirm admission 

• Submit all original documents at the NIT office within the prescribed time period and pay admission fees at NIT Sikkim.

NIT Sikkim M.Tech Admission Process

Admission to the M.Tech. Programmes for GATE-qualified candidates are made through the CCMT counselling process, sponsored candidates are also eligible for admission. Non-GATE and non-sponsored candidates can apply through the IAT (Institute Admission Test)

• Candidates must have the eligibility criteria prescribed by the NIT Sikkim for M.Tech admission 

• Must appear for the GATE entrance exam and fulfil the cutoff criteria given for counselling 

• Participate in CCMT Counselling and get the shortlisted and allotment order

• The candidates will be shortlisted for NIT Sikkim admissions based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination.

• Accept the allotment order submit the original documents at the verification centre and pay the NIT Sikkim admission fee.

• Candidates must read the eligibility criteria before applying for PG admission 

• Admission-seeking candidates must fill out and submit the application form given on the official website. 

• Appear for the JAM entrance exam and fulfil the cutoff criteria given for counselling 

• Participate in CCMN counselling process pay the fee and lock the options.

• Offline Entrance test conducted for non-JAM applicants can apply through the IAT

• Based on the entrance score and personal interview the NIT Sikkim admission shortlist will be released 

• To confirm the admission accept the allotment order submit the original documents at the verification centre and pay the admission fee.

The duration of the Ph.D. course is 4 years. National Institute of Technology Sikkim offers various specialisation courses in full-time study mode.

National Institute of Technology Sikkim offers Ph.D programmes in full-time and part-time mode, the admission process is almost similar for both, however, a valid GATE score is required for B.Tech graduates.
