Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce in Pune evaluates B.Com applicants based on their performance in the Class 12 examination, specifically focusing on the commerce stream subjects. Candidates must have studied Mathematics along with other commerce-related subjects such as Accountancy and Business Studies. The college does not explicitly state whether the aggregate percentage is calculated based on five or six subjects. However, it is common practice among many institutions to consider the best five subjects when calculating the aggregate percentage.

Hello there,

Your son has a strong 95.2% percentile in JEE Mains, which gives him a good chance for CS in decent colleges through COMEDK and Manipal. Here's a clear plan:

  1. Current Applications:

    • Manipal: Good chance for CS at Manipal or Jaipur campus.
    • VIT Vellore: High chance of getting CS in the second or third category.
    • COMEDK: Likely to secure CS in top colleges like RV, BMS, or MSRIT with that percentile.

    • BITS: If he's comfortable with ECE in Goa, that's a strong backup option since BITS has good placement in both CS and ECE.

  2. Additional Applications: No need to apply to more private universities unless you want extra backup.

  3. Symbiosis vs Kalinga:

    • Symbiosis: Better for management and business fields, not as strong in engineering.

    • Kalinga (KIIT): Better for engineering with strong infrastructure and placement in CS and IT fields.

Recommendation: KIIT is a better choice for engineering.

Overall, the current options (Manipal, VIT, COMEDK, BITS) are sufficient for CS. KIIT could be a backup, but Symbiosis is less suitable for CS.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

If you received a call letter from Symbiosis but missed the slot booking window for your interview, immediately contact the admissions office of the specific Symbiosis institute you applied to and explain your situation; they may be able to provide you with an alternative slot or consider your case depending on the reason for missing the booking window, but your chances are slim if the slot booking period has already closed.

Please act quickly and all the best

Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune

  • Entrance Exam : Symbiosis conducts SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) , which is an online entrance exam .
    • You’ll need to register for the test, which typically takes place between May and June.
  • Programs Offered : Symbiosis offers various programs in engineering, law, management, pure sciences, liberal arts, etc.

With a waitlist number of 9, you have a good chance of getting admission to the LLM program at Symbiosis Pune according to previous trends, but it's not guaranteed; it depends on how many students ahead of you on the list accept their offers and how many seats are available after the initial admissions round.

  • High chance, but not certain:

A waitlist number of 9 indicates you are relatively high up on the list, meaning you are likely to be considered for admission if several students above you decline their offers.

  • Stay updated:

Regularly check the Symbiosis website or contact the admissions  office or go to CLAT COUNSELLING 2025 to get updates on the waitlist movement and when to expect a decision.

  • Be proactive:

If you are seriously interested in the program, consider reaching out to the admissions office to express your continued interest and confirm any necessary documents you need to submit if you are offered a spot.

The chances of getting admission at Symbiosis International University in Pune with a waiting list number of 5 for LLM depend on several factors, including:

  • Previous Year's Trends: If you look at the admission trends from previous years, you can gauge how many students typically drop out or decline their offers. This information can provide some insight into your chances.in LLM there is high chance you can get admission at this waitlist.
  • Program Popularity: Some programs are more competitive than others. If you are on the waiting list for a LLM program, the chances are high compared to more popular ones.
  • Total Number of Candidates: The total number of candidates on the waiting list and how many seats are available will also impact your chances. If there are many candidates ahead of you who are likely to take up their offers, it might reduce your chances.
  • Communication from the University: Keep an eye on any communication from the university regarding the waiting list movement. They may provide updates on how many students are likely to be admitted from the waiting list.
  • Timing: As the admission season progresses, the movement on the waiting list can vary. Some students may accept offers from other institutions, opening up spots for those on the waiting list.

If you want a more precise idea, consider reaching out to the admissions office for information on how the waiting list is being managed this year.

If you're looking for 5-year LLB colleges besides CLAT, AILET, Jindal, and Symbiosis, consider options like Government Law College,  Amity Law School, Noida, ILS (Indian Law Society), Pune, ,VIT Chennai - Vellore Institute of Technology ,srm, and the School of Law and Legal Studies at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Most of the top law colleges are accepting clat score only so you need to target PRIVATE LAW UNIVERSITIES and to look for affordable side you can go for state law colleges which is not good as national law university but they give you degree to practice as a lawyer in india.

For corporate law placements, all three institutions—NUSRL, Jindal, and Symbiosis—are well-regarded. However, Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is particularly strong in corporate law, with excellent placement records in top law firms and corporations. Symbiosis Law School is also well-known, but NUSRL is emerging as a strong choice. Ultimately, JGLS and Symbiosis offer more opportunities due to their established networks and infrastructure. It would be beneficial to research each institution’s curriculum, faculty, and placement records for a more informed decision.
