UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Hi,
Only academic wise, IEM is a slightly better option than Techno India University.
But here’s what you need to know about both the colleges -
IEM:
• The college is critical about time, you need to bw always on time for lectures and other events.
• The college has discipline, punctuality, and strictness when it comes to studies. There’s a strict dress-code in place.
• The scope and exposure during and after your btech degree is better than many colleges in West Bengal.
Techno India University is much more flexible in case of rules, and dress code. But, in my opinion Techno Main Saltlake is a much much better college than Techno India University in every aspect.
Techno India colleges arrange workshops, seminars, tech fests for hands on practise of the students.
Plus, CSE is anyday a better branch than CSE and business. So I’d suggest go for just CSE.
You can check out the placement records of Techno Main Saltlake by clicking on this link - https://www.careers360.com/colleges/techno-india-salt-lake/placement

Dear aspirant,
First of all I would like to tell that techno india main campus, salt lake is different from techno india University. In salt lake campus the computer science branch cut off ranges from 4k -8k depending upon the specialisation branches you choose .
In techno india University there are many colleges and cut off ranges from 15k to 30k for the cse branch . However it is subjected to change as every there are new branches inserted and also depends upon certain factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
First and foremost, you should be aware that Techno India University is a deemed university, and Techno India Salt Lake is part of WBUT.
TIU's fee structure would be around 50k per semester, while TISL's would be significantly lower.
You can apply for direct admission to both colleges, however TISL has a smaller number of places than TIU.
Because both colleges are part of the Techno India Group, their placement records are identical.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck

The microbiology course taught in this college is really commendable, you have plenty good faculties, properly equipped labs and all the desired facilities. It is a better option compared to Maulana Azad College. However Maulana Azad College is also a good choice but considering the ongoing curriculum Sister Nivedita is totally updated.
