Our College have all the facilities such as Sports Complex to play Football, Cricket and other outdoor games. Inside the college there's a common room for both girls and boys. Our college have 14 Computer Lab, Chemistry Lab, Physics Lab, Architecture Lab, Library with so many different books to read. Also there are tables and chairs given there to sit and read Books and Articles. Our Hostel is not under college campus but it's condition is very good. College is hygienic and fresh.
Though I am in CSE Branch and my Branch Teachers are very well knowledgeable and 90% of the teachers are from different IIT's, NIT's and IIIT's. Quality of Teacher is good and for every lecture they explain it thoroughly by using Text Editor in Labs and both English and Hindi and Mother Tongue is preferable. Our Curriculum is almost updated and included Java and Python from this year to manage and learn things not from outside the college because it helps in IT Sectors for getting placed.
Placements are good. Various Service Based Companies arrives at out college such as TCS, INFOSYS,WIPRO,IBM,DELOITTE, COGNIZANT and many more. Product Based Companies Includes Microsoft which comes with 15 LPA Package and HP provides 4 to 5 LPA. Few more companies will arrive when we pass out in 2022. TCS offers Ninja and Digital of 3.5 and 7 LPA respectively. Infosys provides 4 LPA and 8 LPA for Power Programmer, IBM also for 5 to 6 LPA, Accenture offers 4.5 for ASE and 6.5 for FSE.
Semester Wise Fees is 79,000 and Annually it goes to 1,58,000 per year. Cost is high but worth it because the placements are at a good level and also ensures that we will get a job if we do hardwork and have patience. Extra Cost taking is of AC which is the Central AC which it doubles the cost from normal colleges. Although I have my education loan for 6 lakh 32 thousand and also 2000 extra for semester exam fees. I think its worth for rich people but not for middle class families.
Campus is good but there's no cafeteria or any other chill out place. Only there are classes and common rooms to sit. No smart boards present there. Not a very big sports complex. Yet there is a language lab which is very large in space and one seminar hall to attend webinars and seminars and farewell parties. Teachers and supports staffs are good in nature and they will always help students who reach out to them asking any doubts regarding the subjects.
No nothing to add.
No hostel , no canteen , no play ground , no parking . Classroom are too small also they are without AC . The labs are old and don't contain new equipment . The campus is too small and doesn't feel like college .
Teachers are okay . They are qualified but don't know how to teach . There are times when the teacher don't comes in the class . There isn't any strictness. One can go anytime in the college .and almost all the exams are under maukat.
Placement are good if you are a CSE student . The average package is 2-4L per annum and mostly there is bulk placement . TCS , CTS , Wipro almost takes 90% of the batch with less package . Off campus placement are way better than this.
College infrastructure is good with ac in classroom, a big library and auditorium.however the ground is not good mostly covered with sand.we have a swimming pool too.Overall its a good infrastrucyure that techno india has put up.
I am studying CSE and the teaching is pretty upto the mark, but sometimesthere is inavailablity of the teacher due to some reasons and if there is any problem with the teacher he/she is immeditely changes by our coordinators.
Placement is pretty average , you get good placements if you are really good at something, big companies come and one has to be pretty well prepared for it or else there is no chance.TISL is just better in this.
79k is pretty huge amount i would recommend to go to tisl as everything is better there.but we get ac all the time in our campus so that is a + point i suppose.the colege ground isnt what i expected to be.
Teachers are very student friendly and they clear doubts then and there when you ask them, we are sent to many important seminars which help us a lot and there is also a teachers who also help if you are planning to go for a start up company and Techno India will sponsor you.
College does all the necessary facilities and infrastructure. It has a hostel facility, ground for sports,an incampus bank(HDFC) makes very things related to payments very easy. Classrooms are all equipped with centralised ac, wifi connections, library, common room for students which is being always used by all. Though university can work on the cleanliness.
Academics of this college is not very helpful. syllabus is up to date but faculty is not up to the mark whatever we learnt was mostly by our own research and notes via google or any other online sources.
This college mainly hold pool campus so competition gets tough. All the student from Techno brand compete. Average package is around 3-4 lpa. Companies like cognizant, wipro, tcs, byjus, presistent came for the recruitment here.
Infrastrucure is not that great. Only one building is there . We don't have any proper play ground. Labs are okaywith sufficient number of computers. No wifi in the college. Parking slot is available.
Academics is really not good. Teachers are not very much well informed. Mugging up and writing the answers during exam is all we do. No practical exposure to the students are provided. Coding wise, we have learnt zero. We had to develop all our coding skills by ourselves.
Placements are really very average. it generally holds pool placement, so all techno students are present and competition gets really tough. Average placements are around 3 LPA . Highest placement was around 9 LPA in thoughtworks .
Our fees is very high as compared to other colleges in Kolkata. Facilities provided as compared to fees is really not worth it. I would suggest you to choose some other college over this if you have other options. But if you don't get ready to pay lots of money.
Campus life is okay. Seniors are very supportive and helpful. We have many fests organized in our college. Cultural, technical fests are named among the few. To welcome the fresher's we also have fresher's party.
In terms of infrastructure, it's good. The entire building has centralized AC. The labs are well equipped with all the instruments for practicals. The computer labs also have decent systems running. There's no canteen per say but outside there are food stalls which have decent food.
I can only say about the CSE department, the curriculum that they offer is good but the professors are below average except for few. Once you're in this college, you're pretty much on your own. The faculty doesn't even care about their students.
Placement is only good for CSE department. The other departments are pretty much doomed. Few students from ECE also got placed from campus but in IT companies. This University only conducts pool campusing. This is probably the only good point for taking admission as you'll be able to sit for many companies. Highest package that came in 2019 was Microsoft with 10lpa. If you can teach yourself some basic coding amd practice the basics and competitive coding, you can easily get a package of 5+ lpa.
It cost 79000 per semester+ 2000 exam fees. Not at all worth it as we weren't getting any classes.
Location of the University is good. Campus life is decent. But every semester there was atleast one strike that I faced.
If you have option to go for any other college then go for it, simply because they'd give you better worth for your money. Else TIU will always be there. Only good reason to take admission here is they'll let you sit for good companies along with other good colleges but that's only beneficial for CSE.
The college infrastructure is top notched. From polished floors to air conditioned classrooms, it has everything a student can dream of in his/her college. Hygiene has never been an issue in TIU and there are friendly roadside stalls who serve cheap foods to students. The library is well maintaned and although there isn't any smart board, there are VR labs set up which introduce students to relevant and modern technologies. The labs are also well maintained and suitable for student usage.
The teaching and academics faculty of TIU are like any other average engineering college. Ofcourse there are some enthusiastic teachers who gave way beyond the normal orthodox way of teaching to make the concepts clear and understandable to students. Like any other college, there is always a variety of teachers, some very friendly and helps you in research and projects work of your own. In short, you yourself need to take a major step to get the best out of the teachers for your own good.
Placements are average in TIU. They occur as pool campusing with other colleges from the Techno group. So the process is really competitve and taxing for any average student. The companies which visit the college are mostly service based. The average salary offered was 3.5 lpa with the highest being 9lpa (from Microsoft, tech support). There are hardly any proper placement prep classes offered by the college leading to a problem faced by many students. Around 60-70% students are placed from CSE.
This is one of the major drawbacks of this college, you often feel inspite of the infrastructure offered, you are overpaying for the education. People from lower middle class families aspiring to be engineers can't afford this college due to it's uneven fees even ifbthe college is on their bucket list.
Campus life is pretty go easy and fun in TIU. You can have a happy go like life and live smoothly. You can experience the three Ws of engineering (Whiskey, Women, Weed) or you can make your own startups in the Entreprenuership Cell of TIU. You can write research papers or waste your four years indulging in things you might not want to. Overall the college treats you as an adult and gives you the freedom of choosing your own life. You will make friends and some will remain with you forever.
All that glitters is not gold. Don't judge a book from its cover.
Infrastructure is average but there is no playground . Libraries , classrooms are well maintained . Due to lack of space events take place outside the collage campus . Sports equipments are there. They didn't provide access to Collage wifi.
If you opt for computer science and engineering then it is okay. Labs are well maintained and also lab equipments are there. Overall quality of teacher is okay but you have to explore yourself only for your development.
Only for computer science and engineering branch placement with average pacakage of 6 LPA is there. And for other branches no core company come here for placements. So if you will want to go for this collage you should opt for computer science .
Fee is 81000 per semester including examination fee(2000). But the facilities are not worth it.
It is average you will get time for extra curricular activities and participate in college events.
The infrastructure is overall an average but they provide all the necessary facilities and equipment, classes are big enough, library is also good and big enough, there is also a canteen inside the campus but the only problem is that there is no space inside the campus for playing something.wifi is available but do not work properly.
I am student of B.tech Computer Science and Engineering. The quality of academic here is quite good, quality of teaching is good and teachers are well maintained and experienced.yes,my study makes me job ready.
Quality of placement are excellent for only IT branch. There are less opportunity for core sector.More than 20+MNC companies conduct on campus drive in our college.placement cell in our college is very active.More than 70% of students are placed in campus selections this year as compared to the last year.
1,38,000 per year.
The college infrastructure is pretty well with fully air conditioned auditoriums, pools, good canteen with heigenic and pocket friendly food, library with nooks of all subjects, lifts, playgrounds for football and cricket and auditoriums.
I good chance in this college through wbjee counselling. The faculty is good but they pressured us too much during the lockdown putting the pressure of abundant assignments and exams on us. Rest is all ok.
I actually don't have pretty much idea about placements but heard that the students from CSE and ECE had got the best placements among other branches reaching to a package of 14lakhs p.a. at maximum, many got 20-24 too
Course fee is 81000 per semester which is 162000 rs per year which is not at all value for money and they doesn't provide us with that high level education in the exchange of that much of money, which should be improved.
Campus life is good. with fully air conditioned auditoriums, pools, good canteen with heigenic and pocket friendly food, library with nooks of all subjects, lifts, playgrounds for football and cricket and auditoriums.
I took part in many gaming events but didn't qualified. The college provides three fests per year. In your fresher, you only have to pay money which is truly bad. The food served will be on low quality. Thank you.
Hi,
Only academic wise, IEM is a slightly better option than Techno India University.
But here’s what you need to know about both the colleges -
IEM:
• The college is critical about time, you need to bw always on time for lectures and other events.
• The college has discipline, punctuality, and strictness when it comes to studies. There’s a strict dress-code in place.
• The scope and exposure during and after your btech degree is better than many colleges in West Bengal.
Techno India University is much more flexible in case of rules, and dress code. But, in my opinion Techno Main Saltlake is a much much better college than Techno India University in every aspect.
Techno India colleges arrange workshops, seminars, tech fests for hands on practise of the students.
Plus, CSE is anyday a better branch than CSE and business. So I’d suggest go for just CSE.
You can check out the placement records of Techno Main Saltlake by clicking on this link - https://www.careers360.com/colleges/techno-india-salt-lake/placement

Dear aspirant,
First of all I would like to tell that techno india main campus, salt lake is different from techno india University. In salt lake campus the computer science branch cut off ranges from 4k -8k depending upon the specialisation branches you choose .
In techno india University there are many colleges and cut off ranges from 15k to 30k for the cse branch . However it is subjected to change as every there are new branches inserted and also depends upon certain factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
