Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University) is an autonomous university established under the provisions of the UGC Act, 1956. It was set up by a group of eminent professionals and industrialists in 1985 with an objective to provide world-class education through its constituent institutions. The foundation has been providing quality higher education since 1987.

There are four campuses: Vignan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vignan College of Arts & Science, Vignan College of Management Studies and VIGNAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY.

Besides this the University also accept the valid scores of ts eamcet for admission to Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of pharmacy courses to the students. Jee mains scores are also considered for admission to Bachelor of Technology.
