Hello aspirant,

It is an autonomous institution, the CMR university. Courses in the life sciences, management, technical, health, law, and other fields of higher education are available. However, CMRIT is a technical and managerial institution accredited by AICTE, New Delhi, and associated with Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Thank you

Hope this information helps you.

Hello,

The difficulty of the subject relies on personal knowledge. There isn't a single issue about which we can state that it is difficult for everyone. If a student has a passion in coding, learning to code may be simpler for them than for others.

There are actually no easy or difficult subjects; rather, you must stay current on topics and concepts. The first few semesters of the course will be challenging, but after that, the remaining 5,6,7 and 8 semesters will be easier. However, there are always three technical or challenging subjects and three straightforward subjects that you must combine and analyse and present in exams.

Thank You

Hello,

Let me first make something clear. The majority of colleges are linked with VTU, however autonomous institutions create their own curricula and hold their own examinations. On the other hand, VTU continues to grant the degree. The majority of other colleges use the VTU exam and syllabus. As for the decision, I believe it to be a personal one. If your rankings are ordinary, it can be tough to get into autonomous universities. However, assuming you qualify for both, each offers benefits and drawbacks.

The benefits of VTU are:

  • An engaging curriculum that is good enough.
  • Contentment with your performance if you performed well despite facing tougher competition and standards.

Disadvantage of VTU

  • Exams with terrible evaluations
  • It is typically quite difficult for students to fail at autonomous colleges. Everyone receives a good grade since it is terrible for business. However, this implies that you are less likely to stand out from the throng. However, an excellent choice for pupils who are not too committed to their education.
  • Placements after graduation are mostly determined by particular colleges, not by how tests are administered.

So, it's a matter of preference. Since I have generalised here, remember to consider the situation before drawing any generalisations.

It's all based on my experiences, those of my friends, and the wisdom my father imparted with me when I was a member of the executive council at VTU and of various academic senates and committees that drafted the curricula for various autonomous colleges.

Thank You

Hello,

It is best to experience computer science rather than simply study it. Learn everything you can by heart. Read about the inspiration behind new things you learn. What issues does it address? Why does it function? Frequently, you'll understand why things function but not their precise cause. So, attempt to disprove everything. Consider things from several angles.

The greatest test to determine whether you've learnt anything is to put it to use. Things takes 1000 attempts at doing it incorrectly before you succeed. Therefore, don't be frightened to make errors. Put learning and comprehension first. The rest is just a side note.

It could take longer to learn things the proper way, but the effort will be worthwhile. You won't need to learn anything at all once you fully understand the ideas. They'll be at your side for a very long time.

Good Luck!!

Hello Pratham,

VTU COLLEGES

VTU colleges(primarily located in Karnataka) are those colleges that are affiliated with Visveswaraya Technological University. The timetables, rules and regulations, fee structure, syllabus, setting of exam papers, evaluation of exam papers, etc. will be decided by VTU and the college that come under VTU must follow those rules.

Advantages of joining VTU-affiliated colleges:

  • Since, the exam papers are set by VTU itself, the papers are unpredictable and hence, you have to study more in-depth. By the end, you will have a good knowledge of many things.

Disadvantages of joining VTU Colleges:

  • The syllabus taught here is outdated.
  • More weightage is given to theoretical knowledge rather than practical.
  • Exam papers are set and evaluated by VTU. According to VTU students, the evaluation of papers is done horribly.
  • CGPA of VTU students is comparatively lower as compared to the students of autonomous colleges.

AUTONOMOUS COLLEGES

Autonomous colleges are those colleges that have their own rules and regulations, fee structure, syllabus, timetable, setting, and evaluation of exam papers, etc. There are many such colleges that have gained autonomy and are also affiliated with VTU.

Advantages of joining autonomous colleges:

  • The syllabus taught here will be the latest one. It will also help in cracking competitive exams like GATE.
  • The question paper and the evaluation will be done by the college itself. This will help in increasing the CGPA as your teachers would be correcting your answer sheets. Since the question paper would be set by your teacher, you will have an idea about the questions that can be expected in examinations.
  • If you have any backlogs, you will be given a chance to give the exam once again.

Disadvantages of joining autonomous colleges:

  • Rules over here are strict. Attendance is mandatory.

I have listed the major advantages and disadvantages of VTU colleges and Autonomous Colleges in this answer. In my opinion, joining an autonomous college is better. However, everybody has their own opinion. So, it's up to you to decide which one is the better option.

Hope this will give you some clarity.
