Nit surathkal is much better than iiest shaibpur in placement wise. Average salary offer in nit surathkal is around 8 lpa while in iiest shibpur average package offer is around 6.50 lpa .

Fees in iiest shibpur is less than nit sutathkal. Ranking of nit surathkal is better than shibpur.

Iiest shibpur  have better ranking than nit durgapur. But it doesn't matter.  Since nit durgapur offers b.tech degree  while shibpur offers B.E degree .

Placement offer by both the college are almost same iiesg shibpur offers package of 6.50 lpa while nit durgapur offers 6.0 lpa. Other thing are almost similar in both the colleges including infrastructure, facilities, faculty..

Hi, you can get into atleast any of the NIT  with this rank but not IIIT. Likewise Yo can get NIT on this rank but where is the problem then? The problem will start arising while selecting branch may be you would not get the branch you want to have so there you may have to come up with these kind of problem. You can positively go to GFTI as there are more chances that you may get your favourable branch there . So choose accordingly remembering all the possible outcomes.

Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology Shibpur is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India. It has been ranked at 45th position by NIRF among universities of India. In Engineering, it has received a rank at 21st position. IIEST Shibpur is far better than many NITs and have proper placements for civil engineering students. But compared to Computer Science and IT branches the placement percentage is less in Civil department.
